CHURCH NEWS AND EVENTS

Let us encourage one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Lent Services –We have extra opportunities to worship and contemplate the love and sacrifice of our Savior. We're calling this series, "The Hands of the Passion". Services are held on Wednesdays at noon at our South Campus, 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm at our North Campus. The 3:30 pm service will be live streamed. Discovery Class - A new Discovery class is open to newcomers, seekers, and present members of our congregation. The class is held, Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. online only. In twelve lessons it will introduce students to the core tenets of our beliefs as Christians and confessional Lutherans. Spring Training – With the Brewers back at camp we also are preparing for this summer’s softball season. We are looking for interested players 18 and older. Games are played Wednesday evenings at Thiensville Park on Gehrke Field. Contact Pastor Scheuerlein if you are interested. We are also looking for sponsors again for our team. The fees for the year are $500 for the team. We are thankful for those who have supported us in the past and hope for continued support this coming season.

New Bible Class Begins March 7 - Mysterious, visionary, and ultimately moving, the last book of the Bible gives Christians hope that the Lord of the church will rule and guide her to the end of time. After exploring in autumn 2019 the first half of Jesus’ apocalypse, we will dig into the remaining chapters of the book of Revelation this spring. Giving Opportunity - Ladies Aid is collecting for Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ-Kenya (LCMC-Kenya) until May 2021. Our goal is to encourage our newest sister church, to help them add mission pastors: LCMC-Kenya would like to be able to pay two new mission pastors at a cost of $1,600 per pastor per year. Anyone interested in supporting this, please use your blue envelope and mark it to go to LCMC-Kenya.

Prayer Net - A church group at Christ Alone, called Prayer Net, has been devoting itself to praying for our church, its people and its concerns. Prayer requests can be made by sending an email to [email protected] or by filling out a prayer card at church. All requests are

Using your blue Christ Alone Supported Schools and Agencies envelope. (Also available with online giving.)

Central African Medical Mission

With God’s help, hundreds of thousands of patients in Zambia and Malawi have been touched by the work of the Central Africa Medical Mission (CAMM). CAMM is a non-budgeted mission of WELS. Financial support is received from women’s groups, schools, church groups, and other friends of the medical mission. Mission Statement The Central Africa Medical Mission serves as the supportive branch to the gospel mission by communicating Christ’s love and by caring concern for the physical needs of our fellow man. Praying for Medical Mission Please pray for the volunteers and national staff, that they continue to be a light of Jesus to many people, and for the people coming to them with pain, disease, sorrow, and loneliness. Let this work bring the blessings of new friendships, lessons in perseverance and character, and a strengthened faith in the one who sustains, cares for, and loves each of us the same.

confidential, and will be reviewed by the coordinator (and a pastor if necessary) to be sure privacy concerns are met. Requests may be changed to meet the privacy criteria.

Israel 2022 – If you have ever wanted to visit the Holy Land and see the places where Jesus walked and carried out his earthly ministry the opportunity is coming very soon. Pastor Scheuerlein will be hosting another trip to Israel - January 11 – 20, 2022. Brochures and details of the trip are available at church or you can email or call Pastor Scheuerlein for details. Barring incidents in 2021 this trip is still planning to be done and early discounts are still available.
