China’s National Standard for Organic Products was developed in 2005

and Chinese organic market has been increasing rapidly accompany

with the focus on food safety and environment protection by the

public in the recent years. Now, China is one of the most attractive

organic markets in the world.

China’s new National Standard for Organic Products GB/T19630-

2011 and the modified Implementation Rules for Organic Products

Certification together with the List of Certified Organic Products in

China enforced on March 1st, 2012. The new requirements enhance

the management of the imported organic products. It is required that

if the imported products will be sold as organic products in China,

certification according to GB/T 19630-2011 is obliged.

If your organic products want to access Chinese market, the first step is

to get certification according to China’s National Standard for Organic

Products (GB/T 19630-2011).

Since 1998, ECOCERT has cooperated with China Agricultural

University ARI (Agro-ecology Research Institute) to offer organic

certification service for Chinese applicants and set up ECOCERT
