    TRADITIONAL FESTIVAL IN PHILIPPINES

    The Ati-Atihan Festival honors the

13th century land deal between 10

    migrating Bornean chieftains and the

indigenous Ati King Marikudo. It also

honors the town patron, the infant

    Sto. Nio. The constant, rhythmic

pounding of drums get to you, and

before you know it you are on the

street, shuffling your feet, shaking your head, waving your hands - and joining

thousands of soot-blacked, gaily-costumed revelers in an

    ancient ritual of mindless happiness.

    TRADITIONAL CLOTH IN CHINA

The traditional clothing ofthe people of China truly

    reflects the kind of

    lifestyle they were used to

    living back then. As

    outwardly expressive as

    traditional Chinese

clothing is it is full ofinnate symbolism as well.

This is one of the things

    that set traditional

    Chinese clothing apart.

    TRADITIONAL CLOTH IN PHILIPPINES

Though in the Philippines amodern, westernized style of

dressing is common, it is still

    possible to see typical Filipino

    dress at official ceremonies.

You will be able to see some

    men wearing the Barong

Tagalog, a thin andtransparent dress, most of the

time white of colour with a

    shirt under it. Females will

    also wear Barot Saya.

    TRADITIONAL DISHES IN CHINA

    According to custom,

    dumplings should be eaten

when the clock strikes 12 on

New Years Eve. This isbecause the Chinese term for

    dumplings jio z () can

    represent that hour of

midnight (the hour of zi), also

signifying a new beginning and the transition into a new

year. Some also say that dumplings take on a similar

shape as yun bo (), gold and silver ingots used

in Imperial China, which symbolizes wealth.

    CHINESE VALUES

In many ways the familyunit takes precedence overits individual members.

Children must learn not toanswer back to their parentsor other elders. It isassumed that the family as

a whole will thrive andprosper if harmony prevailsat home.

PHILIPPINE VALUESAs you can see to the picture, a

child giving respect to his mother. Togain respect from your children first

you must your own elders in front of

them. We can say that a Filipino is

eccentric to other country.Respectof Elders is simply recognizing their

place in society as being more

experienced and have a wealth of

knowledge and should be given the

benefit of the doubt when interactingwith them. When we are a child yet,

they always take care for us, for the

good of our health and also they

want us to achieve our goals andaims
