The Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body According to Traditional Chinese Medicine Volume 2 The anatomy and physiology of the human body according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), from chapter 7 "The Body" (Shen-t'i 身體), chüan 2, pp. 1-47 of the famous illustrated encyclopedia San-ts'ai T'u-hui (Sancai Tuhui; Jap. Sansai Zue) 三才圖會 (三才図会), compiled by Wang Ch'i 王圻 and Wang Ssu-i 王思義, and published in 1609, during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The text contains information on the internal organs, acupuncture meridians, and correspondence of the time cycles with the energy circulating in various organs and meridians; therefore, it is relevant for study of TCM as well as Chinese internal alchemy (nei-tan).
