NORTH AMERICAN MISSION BOARD - 2019 Missionaries are grateful for all that you do to support and encourage

them. This week during your prayer time, please pray for Sam and

Joanna Choi.

COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY The Community Food Pantry continues to give out bags every

Thursday with nutritious staples to individuals and families who live in

Winn Parish. They accomplish this task through the work of volunteers

from all over our parish. They operate solely through gifts and

donations from churches, individuals, businesses, and clubs – without

any government funds. Along with food items, they now offer eggs

donated every week from a local business, school uniforms, Christian

books and devotionals, New Testaments, homemade jellies and jams,

an opportunity to pray with a minister, and enhanced choices on the

“Lagniappe” table. Thank you for keeping this local ministry alive.

A Note from Pastor Danny Keyes A little boy received a toy sailboat for his birthday and went to a

nearby park with a pond. He put his sailboat in the water and played

with it along the edge of the water. He became distracted and when

he turned back the wind had suddenly moved the boat beyond his

reach. He stood there desperate and crying. Then, to make matters

even worse, an older boy came by and started throwing rocks toward

his sailboat. His desperation and crying went to an even higher level.

After a few moments he noticed that the boat was moving closer to

the edge of the pond and soon it was back within his reach. He never

realized that the older boy was not throwing at his boat but beyond,

and the waves and ripples gradually pushed the boat back within his

reach.

Do you ever get the feeling that some bully is throwing rocks at

some of your “stuff” in life? Just when things are right where we

want them to be, just when all our plans are fulfilling just like we

desire, something happens. Something like a coronavirus! I do not

believe that God causes these kinds of difficulties but let me

challenge you to consider the possibility that maybe God is using

life’s circumstances to bring us back closer to him. Perhaps it’s not a

bully after all, but someone who loves us more than we can imagine

and He’s just trying to get us back close so we can enjoy and benefit

from all his blessings.

Philippians 4:19 “My God will supply all your needs according to

His riches in glory in Christ Jesus”.

See you soon,

Kids on Mission & Mission Friends

Until we are able to meet for Kids on Mission and Sunday

School, we will provide weekly home resources for you and

your family through our FBC KIDS Online. Thanks to our

curriculum publishers, you and your family can have access

to the same great content taught in our classes each week at

home. These resources are available to all in our community

looking for resources to lead their children in Bible Study

from toddlers - 6th grade.

VBS – June 8 – 11

Creative Kids We miss seeing our kids at our mid-week meetings and ant

to offer you a weekly family activity. Each week we will have

a new family activity posted with simple supplies and

instructions to complete as a family. Then share your results on

the churches Facebook page so we can see your results.

FBC Online Campus

FBC Winnfield is launching our online campus for members and our

community to have one location to access all of our resources and

opportunities to participate in worship, bible study and family

activities. Visit www.fbcwinn.com for FBC Online Campus which

you the options for continuing your faithful practice of tithing

and giving to God’s work through our church.

Many of you are already connected to online giving and

continue to use that option. If you are not currently connected

to that option and need help doing that please contact the

office.

Food Pantry Items Each month we collect food items for the Community Food

Pantry. This month’s “Food of the Month” is lagniappe. We do

ask that all Food Pantry donations go straight to the First

Presbyterian Church for distribution to those in need in our

community during these next few weeks. Also, large paper

grocery bags are appreciated.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering We are still taking up offering to give the Annie Armstrong

Mission. Our church goal is $9,000 and we currently have

collected $5,855.00 to date. We thank you for giving!

Make sure to tune in to our live stream every Sunday
