Social Media & Marketing Intern (Academic Units) Are you a writing, promoting, or social media wizard and want to develop your marketing skills? Help Chico Hillel improve its Social Media and Marketing presence. Hillel offers semesterlong internship opportunities for outstanding college students at Chico State. Through these positions, students gain a unique opportunity to affect Jewish life on campus while receiving an excellent professional and learning experience. The Social Media Intern will work on creating consistency throughout Hillel’s Social Media platforms, as well as help us grow our internet presence. You will be expected to Monitor, track, and post social media content as well as Find users to follow our organization on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram .You will also be helping interns with general marketing strategies including creating social media campaigns, flyer design, & facebook event creation. The Internship will begin in August 2016 and continue through the end of the fall semester (full academic year option may be available). Minimum of a one semester commitment. Responsibilities Available 47 hours per week Meet weekly with direct supervisor to discuss progress and projects, in addition to staying in touch via email and social media Take photos at Hillel events to capture meaningful experiences Research New Online Media Opportunities Manage and grow Chico Hillel’s social media profiles, Instagram following, youtube presence, Facebook, and Snapchat Qualifications Extensive knowledge of all Social Media Platforms Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills Outstanding Organizational Skills Must be able to work independently and create and maintain a clear social media schedule We are strongly considering applicants involved in the areas of Communications, Communications Design, Journalism, graphic arts, and Photography.  Research Intern (Academic Units)  Do you want an opportunity to utilize your researching skills while also helping a local Student Non­Profit Organization?  Then apply to be Chico Hillel’s Research Intern. This Academic internship will require you to be an independent, methodological worker as you will be helping us with organizing information from our supporters, gathering information about what other Hillel’s are doing, and overall ensuring that Chico Hillel is keep up with all possibilities!   The Internship will begin in August 2016 and continue through the end of the fall semester (full academic year option may be available). Minimum of a one semester commitment.     Responsibilities   

● Available 4­7 hours per week ● Fill in missing information on Hillel’s Master Database (Addresses, Phone Number, etc) ● Collect information on Events and Programs that other Hillel’s are hosting ● Create a weekly report documenting what information was found  ● Meet weekly with direct supervisor to discuss progress and projects, in addition to staying in touch via 

email and social media Qualifications  

● Research Experience  ● Basic knowledge of Social Media Platforms  ● Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills  ● Outstanding Organizational Skills ● Must be able to work independently  ● Must be able to attend Intern Retreat August 19­21st
