• Of 27 living Medalists, 11 came to give presentations

WCC: Girl Scout Patch• Led by Fran Kravitz & devoted team
• Motivation: Girl Scouts needed a merit badge or patch for chemistry
• Chicago WCC developed a program of lectures, experiments, and discussions with women chemists
• Coordination with Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana led to approval for patch program
• Funded by ACS Innovative Project Grant
• Named after Marie Curie
• 30 girls earned patches in 2011!
• Expanding program
