CHHATTISGARH INFRASTRUCTURE

Chhattisgarh is the 10th largest state in India which is originated in 2000. With Raipur as its capital, the state covers a geographical area of 135,191 sq km.

The Chhattisgarh infrastructure is the fastest growing sector as there are number of real estate companies investments.

The state offers an average Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of 16.1 per cent and per capita GSDP of $1,031.9. Chhattisgarh is treasure house of mineral rich resources.

Chhattisgarh Infrastructure consists of roadways, railways and airports.In the sector of roadways, Chhattisgarh is well connected to all the important buildings of the state by the

roads and comprises 12 national highways.

Under the jurisdiction of the South East Central Railways the state also has a strong railway connection between the important places of the state.

The two major railway stations are Raipur and Bilaspur. Chhattisgarh records the highest freight loading capacity in India and around one-sixth of the revenue of Indian Railways

comes from this state.

As part of its future plans, the Airport Authority of India has plans to build two new airports at Raigarh and Bilaspur in the state.

Chhattisgarh Infrastructure has taken a high leap. With the emergence of city called 'Naya Raipur' which is being developed over 8,000 hectare in the state.
