GSK's Science in the Summer is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline(GSK) in partnership with The Franklin Institute and local libraries. WHAT GSK's Science in the Summer program will teachChester County students aboutPhysical Science and Electricity, answering questions such as: "How do magnets work?" "What is a magneticforce field?" and "What makeselectricity?" Students will make a compass, an electromagnet and use an electrostatic generator. This course teaches aboutmagnetism, static electricity, electricalcurrents and circuits. Discover why it's a hair-raising experience! In Chester County, GSK's Science in the Summer programis comprised of four 60-minuteclasses given over the course of a week.Sessions areoffered in the morning(Level l:9:45- l0:45 a.m., Level II: l1:00 a.m. - noon)and in the afternoon (Level I: 12:45 - 1:45p.m.,Level II: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.). Chester County students entering second through sixth grade are invited to register and attendGlaxoSmithKline's Science in the Summer. This free and fun experiment-oriented program istaught by certified teachers to groups of 15 students in two age groups: children entering secondand third grades (Level I) and children entering fourth through sixth grades (Level II). GSK'sScience in the Summer is sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in partnership with The FranklinInstitute and local libraries.

WHAT GSK's Science in the Summer program will teach Chester County students about PhysicalScience and Electricity, answering questions such as: "How do magnets work?" "What is amagnetic force field?" and "What makes electricity?" Students will make a compass, anelectromagnet and use an electrostatic generator.
