NATATORIAL2K13

MAST‘UR’MIND

This technical level symposium is a knowledge cluster for all the maritime

institutions in the country. This gives all the young marine engineers a

center stage to showcase their talents and also cultivates a spirit of

working in a team and instills competitiveness among the students.

The main aim of NATATORIAL 2K13 is to provide young seafarers a gist about new challenges

and developments in technical as well as routine aspects carried out in the shipping industry.

With the theme of the symposium as “Ship Energy Efficiency Management”, we expect our

budding marine engineers to show their own thinking and technical sense through various events

conducted by the symposium.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE LOGO

COMPASS

A compass is a navigational instrument that shows directions in a frame of reference that is

stationary relative to the surface of the earth. The compass in the logo shows that the journey of the

‘NATATORIAL’ is in a direction looking forward for the attainment of excellence. The journey

discovers the talent and enriches the experience of all those who are a part of it.

SAIL

A sail is a surface, typically made of fabric and supported by a mast, whose purpose is to

propel a ship by using the wind energy. The sail in the logo denotes the collection of knowledge and

talent by conducting various competitions and directing them in the right direction to propel our

industry forward.

FLAG

The flag of a ship contains the emblem of the nation or the company to which it belongs. The

flag in the logo suggests that ‘NATATORIAL’ is an integral part of our industry.

WAVE

Wave is the disturbance on the surface of a liquid. It is the up and down movement of the

water particles. The waves in the logo depict the odds and hardships an individual faces in his life,

‘NATATORIAL’ acts as a platform for showing their worth to the world and rise beyond the

expectations.
