Synthesis of Some Novel Polyaza Fused Heterocyclic Compounds. — The dimeri-zation of dinitrile (I) is accompanied by a rearrangement to afford dihydropyrimidine derivative (II). The treatment of compound (IIa) with hydrazine hydrate leads to pyra-zolo-naphthyridines (III), whilst the reaction with urea or thiourea gives rise to pyrim-ido-naphthyridines (V). — (ABDELRAZEK*, F.
