Design Goals

This 6500 capacity grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse was designed to enhance facilities and aid crowd flow. The proposed development aimed to create a brand new state of the art grandstand and improve viewing and bar facilities.

This project incorporated a number of specialist fabrications to enhance the building features. Soffits, Fascias, Bullnoses, Beam Wraps and Column Casings made from high quality coated aluminium and ACM (Aluminium Composite Material) were used to adorn the building.

Specialist Fabrications

A number of specialist fabrications were used on this project, including soffits and bullnoses. The form of the soffits and bullnoses followed a number of faceted curves around the feature canopies, as well as covering the large area of the grandstand canopy.

The Final Touches

The fabrications on this project were required to complement the high quality finishes used such as glass curtain walling, and the project demonstrates Kingspan as a supplier of stand-alone high quality architectural fabrications even in applications not associated with Kingspan panels. Kingspan’s technical team worked closely with the installer, Kovara Projects Ltd, to create bespoke fabrications which enhanced the features of this building.

The fabrications provide the final touches to this building envelope and offer a high performance and unique architectural solution.

Mihi enim satis est, ipsis non satis. Quid enim de amicitia statueris utilitatis causa expetenda vides. Quis non odit sordidos, vanos, leves, futtiles? At ille pellit, qui permulcet sensum voluptate. Sine ea igitur iucunde negat posse se vivere? Quarum ambarum rerum cum medicinam pollicetur, luxuriae licentiam pollicetur. Similiter sensus, cum accessit ad naturam, tuetur illam quidem, sed etiam se tuetur; Sed residamus, inquit, si placet. At quicum ioca seria, ut dicitur, quicum arcana.
