The station for the Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway is at the racecourse, it’s a fantastic day out.
The charming town of Cheltenham is less than a 30 minute walk away through the lovely park. There’s a park and ride adjacent too.
There’s a great playground for youngsters at Pittville Park, as well as the prestigious Pump Rooms.
Walk alongside the course to Prestbury, a pretty village with lots of pubs, a village shop and unique houses.
Cleeve Hill offers incredible panoramic views across the countryside.

The Plough in Prestbury is dog-friendly and serves a great selection of food.
There are some great dog-walking trails around the outside of the racetrack.
Broadway Village is absolutely beautiful and is a must-see!
The National Trust’s Crickley Hill, Chedworth Roman Villa, Bibury and Sherborne Park Estate are great sites.
We recommend eating at the cosy Royal Oak in Prestbury - delicious pub food, great service and dog-friendly.
