Community and Resident Liaison

We are delighted to have started four new apprentices at Chelsea Waterfront. We’re especially pleased to welcome Yousra, one of the new recruits who came through our programme to support women into the construction industry.

Coming from an administrative background, Yousra was introduced to the Women into Construction scheme as a way to find a more challenging site based technical role.

Local Labour UpdateYousra joined Women into Construction in February and was placed at Chelsea Waterfront in June. Yousra told us that she has thoroughly enjoyed her time and was overjoyed to be offered a permanent placement on-site.

Yousra came to us on a work experience placement, and impressed us so much that we offered her a full time role with our design team.

Site UpdateOn the Hammersmith and Fulham site, works to the tower (HF1) are ongoing with the staircase and lift core area now up to level eight and the slabs completed to level five. The smaller HF2 block is following close behind, with the slabs complete to level five and level six is being prepared.

Fit-out is well underway within blocks HF4 and HF5 and the external scaffolding is being removed.

Please refer to the accompanying newsletter from Rollecate Façades Ltd for further details of the completion of HF4 and HF5 façade works.

The works to external areas have also started on the Hammersmith and Fulham site, where we are currently installing the capping beam to the creek wall and carrying out preparatory works to install the paving the promenade.

On the Kensington and Chelsea site, we will be starting the excavation of the double storey basement in the next quarter.
