April 8: Divine Mercy Sunday Acts 4:32-35/1 Jn5:1-6/Jn20:19-31

It is Mercy Sunday today. Because of the Lord, we have access to the forgiveness of our sins: “Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, whose sins you retain are retained.” The gift of reconciliation. As Pope Francis told us: “the Lord never tires of forgiving us. We tire of asking for forgiveness!” As our responsorial psalm repeats today: the mercy of the Lord endures forever. Let us not tire of the asking for forgiveness because there is nothing more irresistible to our God than a repentant heart! Accept the blessing of peace that comes from trusting in the goodness of the Lord, in his everlasting love.

Upward Looking Raffle Upward looking will be holding a Raffle to help pay for the monitor heaters. Many wonderful items have been donated cash prizes as well as gift certificates and donated items. Divine Mercy Sunday is a very special Sunday when the Divine Floodgates from Heaven are wide-opened and Jesus offers us the total forgiveness of all sins and punishment to any soul, who goes to Confession and receives Him in Holy Communion, on that day.

Our parish is using an online giving system that is strengthening stewardship as well as making it easier for members to support our parish. Your regular contributions support the operations of the church and all our ministries.
