Men were the hunters, they hunted wooly rhinos, mastodons, bison, deer , mammoths , and more.Women were the gatherers , they

gathered roots , berries, nuts, seeds, and fruits.

Men used an atlatl to get more power on throwing their spears.

Men and women moved place to place and located where the food sources were.

Early farmers used sharp sticks , rocks , bones , and shells to farm.

Farming led to building permanenthomes gathered together in villages.Earliest crops were wheat and wild barley.Herders tamed animals for human use.Nomadic herders who traveled From place to place formed the pastoral society.

Jericho is built in an oasis . Jericho has high walls to protect it from enemies and floods.

Catal Huyuk have houses built of mud .

They enter their houses from the roof

using a ladder.Ur has a ziggurat made in the

center of the houses . Ziggurat has a temple at the top. So they can be closer to their God . Ur developed into a complex society .

A complex society has a food source , laws , customs , and jobspecialization.

We learned that Early people had different ways of doing things . Early people use technology to survive . They didn’t have what we have today. They had to work together. We are different in some ways . Like for example: We don’t have houses made of mud , we don’t enter our houses from the roof, we don’t need to use spears or atlatls . Early people had a lot of things to do. They made mostly all their things by hand . They all did what their good at.
