Our extra-curricular activities minister to the

whole person in pursuit of excellence inside

and outside the classroom. CHA competitive

sports programs in volleyball, soccer,

basketball, track, baseball and softball are

available for students in grades 4-8.

Christian education is an investment in the whole child, spiritually,

academically, emotionally and socially. Through excellent

instruction from a biblical worldview, students at Chapel Hill

Academy are guided into truth in all subject areas. Parents are

assisted in the teaching and training of students to develop a

passion for Christ and education for life.

Chapel Hill Academy offers a comprehensive core curriculum

including Bible, history, phonetically based reading instruction,

classic literature, grammar and writing, math and science/STEM.

The STEM program at CHA seeks to prepare students for 21st

century skills through the blending of instruction in science,

technology, engineering, and math from a Christian perspective.

Valuing the importance of the arts in a child’s development, attention is also given to music and art,

as well as physical education and library skills at all grades. Spanish instruction enriches the K – 5th

grade program and is a core component of 6th – 8th grades.

All areas of the curriculum are on a regular review cycle with careful attention given to the selection

of textbooks and instructional materials. Both Christian and secular materials are utilized by

teachers in the development of lessons equipping students to think biblically in all content areas.

The integration of a variety of technology resources have enhanced the educational program at

Chapel Hill Academy and provided additional tools for differentiating instruction and engaging

learners. Field trips at all grade levels lend real-life experience to textbook knowledge and

enhance classroom instruction. The highlight of the eighth grade year is a week long history trip

to the East Coast with a focus on the Christian heritage of the United States.

Standardized tests are administered annually in grades 1-8 and consistently demonstrate

significantly higher scores in all areas compared to national averages.

Our licensed teachers are godly men and women whose first priority is to model a consistent

personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Teachers devote daily classroom time encouraging students

to “stand firm in the Lord” (Philippians 4:1) by the renewal of their thoughts, attitudes and actions.

Students compete in annual ACSI Student Activities including Spelling Bee and Math Olympics.

Additional academic activities include Math Counts, Robotics, Music and Fine Arts competitions.

Mission Statement

To glorify God and assist families by providing

a Christ-centered education which inspires and

enables students to pursue spiritual maturity

and academic excellence.

Vision Statement

Relying on God’s strength and provision,

Chapel Hill Academy will be the Christian

school of choice based on value created

through:

1. Nurturing Christ-like attitudes in students,

equipping them to articulate and defend

a Biblical worldview.

2. Providing excellent programming which

upholds the highest of academic

standards.

3. Promoting a distinctively Christ-centered

environment which inspires students to

worship Christ through a lifestyle of

integrity, leadership, service and

stewardship.

Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired,

the only infallible, authoritative Word of

God, inerrant in the original manuscripts.

We believe the inerrancy of Scripture

embraces not only religious truth, but

also the Bible's scientific, historical and

literary features.

2. We believe that there is one God,

eternally existent in three persons: Father,

Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe that creation was an act of

God, and not the result of evolution,

theistic or otherwise. (This has no

reference to changes within the species as

defined in Genesis 1.)

4. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus

Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life,

in His miracles, in His vicarious and

atoning death through His shed blood, in

His bodily resurrection, in His ascension

to the right hand of the Father, and in His

personal return in power and glory.

5. We believe that for the salvation of lost

sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit

is absolutely essential.

6. We believe in the present ministry of the

Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the

Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

7. We believe in the resurrection of both the

saved and the lost; they that are saved

unto the resurrection of life and they that

are lost unto the resurrection of

damnation.

8. We believe in the spiritual unity of

believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who We Are

About CHA

Chapel Hill Academy was founded in 1970 to provide excellent education with a Christian

worldview. At Chapel Hill Academy, we believe that parents are their children’s primary educators.

Our mission is to glorify God and assist families by providing a Christ-centered education which

inspires and enables students to pursue spiritual maturity and academic excellence.

We welcome involvement through many volunteer opportunities made available to parents.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I track my student ’s academic progress?

CHA utilizes Cornerstone, a password protected parent portal that includes on-line grade reporting for

grades 4 – 8. Cornerstone reports provide a review of the student’s progress in class, indicating

missing work, low scores, successes, and information about upcoming assignments or tests. Regular

Star Reading assessments (grades K-5) and annual standardized testing (grades 1-8) assist in academic

progress tracking.

Do you have before and after-school care?

Cougar Care is our morning and after-school childcare program. Hours are from 7:00-8:05 AM and

3:25 PM to 6:00 PM every day that school is in session.

Do you offer a foreign language?

Spanish is the foreign language taught at CHA, starting in Full-day Kindergarten.

Do you require uniforms?

Middle school students (grades 6-8) are required to purchase CHA athletic wear for P.E. class.

Currently, CHA does not require uniforms in the classroom. A dress code is in place, which provides

guidelines.

Do you offer bus transportation?

Busing is available to CHA students residing within District 112 boundaries. In addition, half day

Kindergarten students residing in District 112 have busing available at mid-day (Chaska, Chanhassen,

Victoria and Carver). Some restrictions apply. An effective and efficient carpool program also serves

families who desire to share the driving duties with other families in nearby neighborhoods.
