INSTALLATION

Biztrak Business Solutions Sdn Bhd Setup Installation By Product ID

1.1 BIZTRAK INSTALLATION

In this chapter, steps on how to install and register Biztrak Business Software will be explained.

There are 3 options to install Biztrak. There is setup installation by Product ID, License Disk or

Restricted Evaluation Edition.

Setup Installation By Product ID is the place to install Biztrak Business Software by using

product identification from the Certificate of Authenticity document.

Please make sure that all programs are closed before running Biztrak’s Setup.exe program.

Biztrak Installation By Product ID

1 Insert Biztrak’s installation CD. As shown in Figure 1-1(a): Biztrak Start Up

CD, Biztrak’s Getting Started Guide help file will automatically prompt out.

Please close this file after going through the necessary information.

2 Select and double-click Msb10.9 folder as shown in Figure 1-1(b): Biztrak Installation CD.

3 As shown in Figure 1-1(c): Biztrak – Setup.exe File, once Setup.exe program is selected and double-clicked, system will run the setup guide as

shown in Figure 1-1(d): Biztrak Setup Guide.

4 Biztrak’s Welcome window as shown in Figure 1-1(e): Biztrak Setup – Welcome will prompt after that. Click the Next button.

Please read through carefully the on-screen instructions before proceed.

5 Another window as shown in Figure 1-1(f): Biztrak Setup – Software License Agreement is displayed. Click the Yes button.

6 Select Installation Type window as shown in Figure 1-1(g): Biztrak Setup – Select Installation Type (Product ID) is displayed next. Select Product ID option and click the Next button.

7 At Product ID window, key in the product identification that can be received

from the Certificate of Authenticity. This is shown in Figure 1-1(h): Biztrak Setup – Product ID. Click Next button continue.

8 Choose Destination Location window as shown in Figure 1-1(i): Biztrak Setup – Choose Destination Location is displayed next. Click Next button to continue if there is no changes to the default destination folder.

By default, the destination folder to install Biztrak software is “C:\BIZTRAK\”. Use the

Browse button to select a different location.

9 Another window as shown in Figure 1-1(j): Biztrak Setup – Setup Type is displayed. Select the type of setup. The default setup type is “Express Setup”. Click Next button to continue.

10 Animated Tour window as shown in Figure 1-1(k): Biztrak Setup – Animated Tour is displayed. Select the default multimedia option, i.e. “CD ROM”. Click the Next button.

11 As shown in Figure 1-1(l): Biztrak Setup – Select Program Folder, select the default program folder, i.e. “Biztrak”. Click the Next button.

12 At Start Copying Files window shown in Figure 1-1(m): Biztrak Setup – Start Copying Files, click Next button to continue.

Use the Vertical Scroll Bar as shown in Figure 1-1(m): Biztrak Setup – Start Copying Files to scroll down and check the Current Settings.

13 As shown in Figure 1-1(n): Biztrak Setup – Copy File Status, system will

start to copy relevant files to the selected location.

14 Upon completing the setup installation, system will prompt another window for

Seagate Analysis installation. As shown in Figure 1-1(o): Biztrak Setup – Question, click Yes button to proceed the installation.

If installation of Seagate Analysis is not essential, click No button to discontinue the

installation process.

15 As shown in Figure 1-1(p): Biztrak Setup – Installing Seagate

Analysis Status system will start to install Seagate Analysis. After that,

another window as shown in Figure 1-1(q): Seagate Analysis Setup – Welcome to Seagate Analysis Setup will prompt. Click Next button to

continue.

16 Another window as shown in Figure 1-1(r): Seagate Analysis Setup – Software License Agreement is displayed. Click the Yes button.

17 Choose Destination Location window as shown in Figure 1-1(s): Seagate Analysis Setup – Choose Destination Location is displayed

next. Click Next button to continue if there is no changes to the default destination folder.

By default, the destination folder to install Seagate Analysis is “C:\.. \Seagate

Analysis”. Use the Browse button to select a different location.

Status, system will start to install the Seagate Analysis program.

19 Upon successful installation of Seagate Analysis, Seagate Software Registration Wizard window will prompt. As shown in Figure 1-1(u):

20 The next window as shown in Figure 1-1(v): Seagate Analysis Setup –

Setup Complete will prompt. Select and tick “No, I will restart my computer

later” checkbox and click the Finish button. You have successfully installed Biztrak and Seagate Analysis!

If Seagate Analysis is not installed, system will directly check whether the computer

need to be restart. As shown in Figure 1-1(w): Biztrak Setup – Restarting Computer, select and tick “No, I will restart my computer later” checkbox and

click the Finish button.

Please move on to section 1.1.4 License Key Registration (Product ID And License Disk) for registration of the License Key.

Setup Installation By License Disk For Multiple Users is the place to install Biztrak Business Software by using multi-user license key.

3 As shown in Figure 1-2(c): Biztrak – Setup.exe File, once Setup.exe

program is selected and double-clicked, system will run the setup guide as shown in Figure 1-2(d): Biztrak Setup Guide.

6 Select Installation Type window as shown in Figure 1-2(g): Biztrak Setup – Select Installation Type (License Disk) is displayed next. Select

License Disk option and click the Next button.

7 Biztrak’s License Disk window as shown in Figure 1-2(h): Biztrak Setup –

License Disk will prompt. Click Browse button to locate “biztrak.lic” file if it is saved to hard disk OR click OK button to proceed if “biztrak.lic” file is in a

diskette.

8 As shown in Figure 1-2(i): Biztrak Setup – Select Components, select

Client option if Biztrak Business Software is installed at the client OR

workstation or select Server option if the software is installed in server.

9 Click Next button to continue.

Select Server Type will only be displayed if the option chosen in Select Components window is “Server”.

Select Components and Select Server Type window ONLY applies for multi-user

licenses.

Animated Tour is displayed. Select the default multimedia option, i.e. “CD

ROM”. Click the Next button.

13 Another window as shown in Figure 1-2(m): Biztrak Setup – Select Network Protocol is displayed. Select the correct network protocol. Click

Next button.

Select Network Protocol window ONLY applies for multi-user licenses. Please

make sure that when “Server” and “Client components” are installed, both

installations have the same protocol.

14 As shown in Figure 1-2(n): Biztrak Setup – Select Program Folder, select the default program folder, i.e. “Biztrak”. Click the Next button.

15 At Start Copying Files window shown in Figure 1-2(o): Biztrak Setup –

Start Copying Files, click Next button to continue.

License Key Registration is the place to register the program after installing Biztrak Business Software.

Please note that License Key Registration is ONLY applicable for installation of

Biztrak Business Software by Product ID and License Disk.

1 As shown in Figure 1-5(a): Biztrak Registration, click Start at Windows toolbar, select Programs followed by Biztrak and Biztrak Registration.

Click Open button to return to Registration window.

4 As shown in Figure 1-5(d): License Registration Information, system will

automatically fill in all the registration information. Click OK button to continue.

Figure 1-5(e): License Registration Completed prompts out.

Launching REE’s Demo Version is the place to open up a demonstration company after installing

Biztrak Business Software through the Restricted Evaluation Edition option.

Please note that Launching REE’s Demo Version is ONLY applicable for

installation of Biztrak Business Software by Restricted Evaluation Edition (REE).

Launch REE

1 As shown in Figure 1-6(a): Biztrak Login Icon, double-click the application

icon (with the name Biztrak ) as shown in the desktop.

2 A window as shown in Figure 1-6(b): Biztrak Application Login will

prompt right after the login icon is double-clicked. In this window, key in the Login ID and Password.

3 Once the Password has been keyed in, the OK button will be enabled. Click

OK. A message box as shown in Figure 1-6(c): License Expire will prompt.

This demonstration version CAN only be used for 30 days.

4 Select Company window will prompt. Choose “Biztrak Demo Company Sdn

Bhd” and click the OK button. You can now use the demonstration version.
