Changing for the Night Out When walking out the door in the morning, most men probably aren't thinking about how their outfit will function for the night ahead. Sometimes, though, work attire just doesn't quite fit the look you want when you step out of the office later that night. With time running short, some men head straight to a dinner date, which can quickly morph into after-dinner drinks, and then possibly, even lead to a night of dancing. Unfortunately, wearing your office clothes can not only be physically uncomfortable, but might also give the illusion that you’re unable to loosen up and have some fun. How can you find a way to dress for business and pleasure at the same time? Here are a few tips to help you quickly transition from day to night attire. Shoes Men's dress shoes, while suitable for work, are not ideal for a night out (especially if dancing is involved). One quick and easy way to change for a night out is to slip off the business footwear and put on a pair of stylish -- yet slightly more relaxed -- shoes. Hang the Jacket Don't wear your business suit coat when night falls unless you are going to a restaurant or club where jackets are required. If you are heading elsewhere, keep a spare jacket on hand that feels a little more casual. Untuck the Shirt Untuck your shirt to let loose a little. You can even undo your cuffs and roll up your sleeves to give yourself a more relaxed appearance. You can also keep an extra shirt in the office to slip into during the night hours so you feel fresh when heading out. Chuck the Tie If you are preparing to enjoy the evening after a long day at the office, why not lose the tie? You might want to go formal on some dates, but most evenings out don't require a tie. Your neck will thank you later. Give yourself a bit of room to breathe when nighttime hits by undoing the top one or two buttons of your shirt. Pants Your plans for the night will dictate which pants you should wear. If you're going to a nice restaurant, dress pants or a pair of khakis will work. If you're going to a bar to play a game of pool and have a cold beer, opt for a pair of comfortable jeans. Summary: It's not uncommon for a modern businessman to be in the office from sunrise to sundown. With such a long day, he might not have much time to think about how his daytime attire might transition for an evening out.

Changing for the Night Out

When walking out the door in the morning, most men probably aren't thinking about how their

outfit will function for the night ahead. Sometimes, though, work attire just doesn't quite fit the

look you want when you step out of the office later that night. With time running short, some

men head straight to a dinner date, which can quickly morph into after-dinner drinks, and then

possibly, even lead to a night of dancing. Unfortunately, wearing your office clothes can not only

be physically uncomfortable, but might also give the illusion that you’re unable to loosen up and

have some fun. How can you find a way to dress for business and pleasure at the same time?

Here are a few tips to help you quickly transition from day to night attire.

Shoes

Men's dress shoes, while suitable for work, are not ideal for a night out (especially if dancing is

involved). One quick and easy way to change for a night out is to slip off the business footwear

and put on a pair of stylish -- yet slightly more relaxed -- shoes.

Hang the Jacket

Don't wear your business suit coat when night falls unless you are going to a restaurant or club

where jackets are required. If you are heading elsewhere, keep a spare jacket on hand that feels a

little more casual.

Untuck the Shirt

Untuck your shirt to let loose a little. You can even undo your cuffs and roll up your sleeves to

give yourself a more relaxed appearance. You can also keep an extra shirt in the office to slip

into during the night hours so you feel fresh when heading out.

Chuck the Tie

If you are preparing to enjoy the evening after a long day at the office, why not lose the tie? You

might want to go formal on some dates, but most evenings out don't require a tie. Your neck will

thank you later. Give yourself a bit of room to breathe when nighttime hits by undoing the top

one or two buttons of your shirt.

Pants

Your plans for the night will dictate which pants you should wear. If you're going to a nice

restaurant, dress pants or a pair of khakis will work. If you're going to a bar to play a game of

pool and have a cold beer, opt for a pair of comfortable jeans.

Summary:

It's not uncommon for a modern businessman to be in the office from sunrise to sundown. With

such a long day, he might not have much time to think about how his daytime attire might

transition for an evening out.
