Company Activities Arizona Mobile Education (AME) AME is a field trip on wheels housed in a converted, solar-powered school bus equipped with solar and hands-on activities about the 5 C’s of Arizona (Cattle, Copper, Cotton, Citrus and Climate) along with Arizona State symbols. Arizona Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (AOWRA) AOWRA's exhibit will feature a full-scale plastic septic tank equipped with plastic pipes and chamber that is used to educate students of all ages. Arizona Science Center The Arizona Science Center booth features giant foam blocks of various shapes and sizes that families can use to build a design what they create from a drawing. Arizona SciTech This booth has colorful displays that represent the Arizona SciTech Festival, including demonstrations of solar activities, workbook giveaways and prizes for event attendance, distribution of SciTech Festival collateral and schedules of upcoming events. ASU Preparatory Academy The ASU Preparatory Academy robotics team features demonstrations that allow families and students of all ages to interact with their projects. They also will provide information about their campus and distribute giveaways. AZ College Prep - Oakland This booth will explore the science of sounds. Students will teach how sound is make and how humans acquire language. AZ College Prep - Erie Did you know that swarming is a big problem for both commercial and households? AZ College Prep students will showcase a swarming bee experiment at their booth. They will explore an organic and effective bee repellent that people can use to keep bees away, save money and the headache of having bees around - while saving the lives of the bees. Basha High School - Science is Fun Basha High School's “Science is Fun” students will engage children and adults in science demonstrations and hands-on experiments including cloud bubbles made from dry ice and soapy water, memory metal, a plasma globe and much more. BASIS Chandler -Rahman Team BASIS Chandler will feature two exhibits at their booth. One will provide information on which fruits have the most Vitamin C, the benefits of Vitamin C and the varying levels of Vitamin C. In addition, there will be an erupting volcano (and the science behind it) for attendees to learn from. Bogle Jr. High Vex Robotics Team (Cortex Crew) At this exhibit, attendees may watch students from Bogle Jr. High's Vex Robotics Team (aka Cortex Crew) design and build robots to complete specified tasks. Projects are completely student led by the award winning tournament champions. Bricks 4 Kidz Bricks 4 Kidz will have a Lego exhibit with an interactive spin art table. Visitors to this exhibit will be able to create their own spin art project. Center for Native & Urban Wildlife The Center for Native & Urban Wildlife exhibit will feature two aquariums with harmless native desert wildlife including a chuckwalla, native lizard and box turtle. Chandler High Science Club Chandler High School students will explain the light spectrum using different lighting sources along with the sustainability of different artificial light sources and their environmental impacts. Chandler Unified School District Romero Resource Center (RIC) Visitors to this booth will have to create paths for "Ozobots" (small one-inch robots) to move and show lights using simple color codes. Chandler Unified School District STEM Community of Practice The teachers in Chandler Unified School District formed a community of STEM teachers. Through this community, the teachers sharing information and building relationships while providing a framework for all students to engage in STEM habits of mind. This booth will have informational fliers and interactive activities were attendees could think like an engineer, go through the engineering design process, and engage in 21st century skills with hands-on activities. Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) Electric Utility Technology Program “Linemen” CGCC students will erect a single-phase power line, including poles, cable, transformer and secondary transformer. Visitors will have an opportunity to see how linemen do their job and how a power line is constructed. City of Chandler Police, Professional Standards Unit

Police's Professional Standards Unit will distribute brochures, programming fliers and promotional items related to the hiring/recruitment process of sworn and civilian positions.

City of Chandler Public LibraryThe City's Public Library will promote free resources and programs available at the library, including their digital library, databases and more. They also will feature various experiments from the STEAM program that include their 3-D printer, bottle rockets, toronado bottles, Speros and spiderbots.

City of Chandler Wastewater Treatment The City's Wastewater Treatment staff will have a condensed version of an entire wastewater plant in a fish tank. They will explain their process and provide hands-on experiments on the sewer system, treated water vs. water from the tap and much more.

DJ Dan Bare DJ Dan Bare will be spinning music to get everyone pumped up for a day of exploration and learning. Stop by Chandler’s Downtown Stage to dance or request your favorite tune!

Education Empowers Inc. This Chandler-based nonprofit organization will have a variety of hands-on robotics activities for kids.

Engineering for Kids East Valley Engineering for Kids STEM Enrichment program students will showcase their VET IQ robotics. Kids of all ages will have an opportunity to drive and compete in mini challenges on their robotic competition game board.

GameTruck Come travel through the solar system with this video Game Truck spaceship. Learning and video games go hand-in-hand!

Gina's Face Painting and Fun Visitors to this booth will have their face painted, receive a "twisted" balloon and glitter tattoos.

Halle Heart Children’s Museum Museum staff will have an interactive food sorting game to educate children about the five food groups and living a heart healthy life.

Hamilton High School, Agriculture/FFAHamilton High's Agriculture students will have a display of several different live chicken breeds answer questions about chickens. There also will be a display about eggs and a spinner with egg trivia. If participants answer the questions correctly, they get to pick an egg and get the prize inside (candy). Attendees also can look at an egg in an egg calendar.

Intel (EVENT SPONSOR)

Intel will display Makey Makey/Sparkfun kits and several other hands-on activities regarding fundamental basics of computer science. Stop by and engage in the fun!

International Dark Association - Phoenix Area Chapter

The exhibit will have information/brochures about light pollution and its social-economic and ecological impacts, a light shielding demonstration and examples of various types of eye and sky friendly outdoor lighting. A telescope for solar viewing is in the process of being arranged. There also will be some small giveaways for attendees.

Lakeshore Learning Store Lakeshore Learning will have an interactive STEM experience for all attendees. They also will have additional activities for all passerbys.

LifeQuest Physical Medicine and Rehab A local chiropractor’s office will offer free chair massages and discounted appointments to come and visit their office. They also will provide additional information on their services.

Living Well Chiropractic Living Well Chiropractic’s educational booth will distribute samples of biofreeze and educate attendees about chiropractic health and wellness benefits. They will have a spine on display and give free nerve analysis of the neck to attendees.

MJS Designs MJS Designs will feature samples of custom-made circuit boards and electronic systems, along with information on MJS Designs and their technical capabilities.

New World Learning Academy The exhibit is based on the book “How do You Lift A Lion”. They will design three simple machines built with Popsicle sticks, tape string and a branch to teach kids of all ages about simple ways of building machines.

Orbital ATK Hourly Presentation (EVENT SPONSOR)

Orbital ATK will launch a rocket every hour and their scientists and engineers will have a variety of interactive and hands-on activities for families to get excited about the world of science. Orbital ATK will have a custome passport for kids to earn stamps as they complete each activity. Once the passport is filled out, kids may exchange it for a prize.

Paragon Science Academy The Academy's Robotics group will showcase their robot to attendees and elementary school students will feature science demos.

PayPalPayPal will feature three exhibit areas: they will have hands-on activities featuring Cosmo the Robot and a cup stacking interactive station for participates to use basic coding concepts to instruct their robot on how to stack cups in a specific formation. Raffle prizes also will be available.

Play-Well TEKnologies The exhibit will be an interactive LEGO engineering set up to explore STEM concepts with hands-on learning. Their display will feature more than 20,000 LEGOs!

Primavera Online High School Primavera students will conduct a "foam gnome" experient to teach attendees about exothermic reactions.

S.Y. STEM Coalition Staff will distribute information about the organization and also may feature small science demonstrations.

STEM Revolution Hourly Presentation

STEM Revolution will do cryogenics experiments every hour and explain simple liquid nitrogen properties, i.e. boiling temp, how molecules move, and much more. They will freeze marshmallows and allowing attendees to eat them, use liquid nitrogen to blowing up and shrinking balloons, and other activities that includes acetone, and soapy water in addition to various hands on activities like augmented reality that will bring coloring pages to life, Virtual Reality, magformers, and a Sphero SPRK kids can program.

Stormtroopers - Dune Sea Garrison The Stormtroopers will walk around the event, take pictures and interact with attendees.

The Nitro Live Icecreamery The Nitro Live Icecreamery will have hands on experiments using liquid nitrogen to teach participants about the different state of matter.

Tonto Creek Camp Staff will feature interactive outdoor STEM education modules.

University of Arizona Health Sciences Library The University of Arizona Health Sciences Library will engage students of all ages in learning about 3D technologies while explaining more about how these technologies are used within their health sciences center.

University of North Dakota Aerospace (UND)

UND will have a wind tunnel where students can build and test an airplane in the same manner as aircraft designers. The booth also will provide an opportunity to test out their flight skills in a desktop simulator. Actual pilots and instructors will be on hand to answer questions about what it is like to be a pilot, how to become a pilot as well career options for those interested in the industry.

Waymo Waymo will provide a video display featuring their technology, a talkback booth for attendees to share what they would do in a self-driving car, a photo booth and a static demo of their self-driving Pacifica.

zSpace zSpace will have various hands on and virtual reality activities.
