12 Goals First-Grade Readiness: Students are ready for first grade. Early Grades Achievement: All groups exceed national averages and

gaps close. Middle Grades Achievement: All groups exceed national averages

and gaps close. High School Graduation: All young adults earn a diploma – or, if not,

pass the GED tests. College and Career Readiness: High school graduates are prepared

for postsecondary education and a career. Adult Literacy and Job Training: Adults without diplomas participate

in literacy and job skills training and further education.
