Following on from the success of the 2014 CFO Rising Europe Summit, we are excited by the prospect of building on our financial leadership expertise by delivering another summit that will address the challenges faced by the modern CFO.

In today’s increasingly challenging and volatile financial environment, the role of the CFO has evolved significantly. Traditionally being viewed as a financial gatekeeper, the role of the CFO has expanded and evolved to a strategic partner and advisor to the CEO.

Chief Financial Officers who are looking to drive the performance of their finance teams, whilst taking on a more strategic outlook must attend this summit. Presentations will focus on:

• Outsourcing• Financial Transformation• Financial Leadership• Emerging Markets• Corporate Sustainability& Many More....

Each digital business has its own metrics to watch after. Managing DB and DC Pensions and How Finance Can Protect the Business so that the Business Can Focus on Further Growing it.

The UK pension landscape has changed quite dramatically over the last years. While the focus is gradually shifting from Defined Benefit to Defined Contribution Pension Schemes there are still lots of DB pension topics that should get managements full attention to protect the business in the long run. As both of these types of pension schemes come with their associated risks, Finance together with the DB Trustees and the DC Governance Committee needs to identify potential risks and find solutions that should be implemented to protect the business going forward.

Steering a Socail Enterprise Through Deficit Reduction and Austerity: Applying Commercial Principles.

The biggest challenge really in terms of my career development has been in moving from the commercial into the public sector. There were a number of challenges, such as the different culture, the length of time it took for organisations in the public sector to make decisions, and some of the administration and red tape, which was quite suffocating at the outset. But actually it soon became clear that in joining the further education (FE) sector I was joining one of the more private-sector-focused areas of the old public sector world.
