As soon as SyncRoute Infranet Pvt. Ltd. receives the completed Enrolment Form along with the 2) supporting documents, the student will be enrolled to the course, subject to the realisation of the fees (refer the Payment Options) and the availability of seats for the batch.

Submission of Application: The Prospectus and Enrolment Forms are available on our website for download. The completed Enrolment Forms will be accepted. A) THE OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE

Certifi ed Telecom Professional - Wireless aims at uncovering the potential of our engineering cadre and presenting this talent to meet the challenges before the Telecom Sector. It aims at creating an effi cient and knowledgeable RF engineers and managers, who will be engaged in making India a world class champion in the area of Telecom Management. to impart theoretical and practical inputs to the students so as to mould them into sound Wireless Telecom professionals.

This course will cover all the major aspects of Wireless Telecom Sector like Cellular Communication & GSM System, CDMA and WCDMA (3G), TD-LTE (4G), Digital Communication, Transmission Techniques, Optical Communication, Mobile. This will be followed up with in-fi eld hands-on practical training on Telecom industry requirements such as Site Surveys, Drive Test and so on.

B) THE IMPORTANCE OF CTP-WIRELESS COURSE

BACKGROUND: Telecommunications is one of the prime support services needed for rapid growth and

modernization of various sectors of the economy. It has become more important in recent years because of the enormous growth of Information Technology (IT) and its signifi cant impact on the rest of the economy. India is perceived to have a special comparative advantage in IT and in IT-enabled services. However, sustaining this advantage depends on high quality telecommunication professionals.

The telecom sector in India has been witnessing a continuous process of reforms since 1991. With the opening of international long distance services and internet telephony from April, 2002, the process of liberalization and the opening up of the sector for competition is complete. The convergence of services is a major new emerging area and the telecom sector will have to address this issue seriously.

The New Telecom Policy (NTP) announced in 1999 modifi ed the NTP 1994 to take into account the far-reaching technological development taking place in the telecom sector globally and to implement the Government’s resolve to make India a global IT superpower. NTP 1999 also seeks to solve problems arising out of the implementation of NTP 1994.

Telecommunication is the lifeline of the rapidly growing Information Technology industry. Internet subscriber base has risen to more than a 100 million in 2010. Out of this, 11.47 million were broadband connections. More than a billion people use the Internet globally. Under the Bharat Nirman Programme, the Government of India will ensure that 66,822 revenue villages in the country, which have not yet been provided with a Village Public Telephone (VPT), will be connected.

INDUSTRY STATISTICS: The total revenue in the telecom service sector was 86,720 crore (US$19.3 billion) in 2005-06 as

against 71,674 crore (US$16 billion) in 2004-2005, registering a growth of 21%.estimted revenue of FY’2011 is 835 crore (US$ 19 Bn Approx). The total investment in the telecom services sector reached 200,660 crore (US$ 44.7 billion) in 2005-06, up from 178,831 crore (US$ 39.9 billion) in the previous fi scal.

The Indian telecommunication industry is the world’s fastest growing industry with 826.93 million mobile phone subscribers as of April 2011. It is also the second largest telecommunication network in the world in terms of number of wireless connections after China. The industry, growing at a rate of 26%, is expected to reach a size of 344,921 crore by 2012. The sector will create direct employment for 2.8 million people and for 7 million indirectly during the time span. As per the latest report from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the wireless industry in the country grew almost 2.8 percent in October to 706.7 million new subscribers. Some wireless industry analysts expect that the overall penetration rate will reach 65 to 66 percent for 2011, and should be near to 68 percent in 2012.

The Economic Times on June 21st, 2011 reported the following about the Telecom Sector:

“Overall, the telecom sector has recorded a 12% jump in sales to 119,845 crore for the year-ended March 2011, compared to a 7% increase in revenues the previous year, underlying trends in the sector are still positive, and analysts say the growth in revenues will increase further as 3G services reach more town and cities this fi scal. All Telco except BSNL have shown an increase in sales in the last fi scal. The growth is also a pointer of stability returning to the sector, where the revenues and profi ts of all operators had been decimated by a savage price war in 2009-10.”

The other major aspect in the growth of Wireless Telecom to watch for is the rise of Wireless Internet/Data business. Wireless subscribers, capable of going to Internet, have grown from 149 mil in Dec’09 to 187 mil in Dec’10.

The provision of telecom services in rural areas would be another thrust area to attain the goal of accelerated economic development and social change. Although the telecom network in the rural areas has grown rapidly in recent years, its growth needs to be accelerated further.

THE OPPORTUNITY: To achieve these objectives, there is a requirement of Wireless Telecom Professionals who will act as

a catalyst in achieving these objectives and also in fulfi lling the market requirements of the telecom industry.

With the telecom sector booming, a career in the industry is very lucrative. The career path to the leading companies goes via telecom engineering. PRACTICAL TRAINING

The above course will be followed by a hands-on training using the popular RF Engineering tools and T&M instruments to demonstrate and impart practical knowledge on designing, implementing and maintaining Wireless networks.

The above described practical training will be conducted in the designated cities, subject to availability of quorum. In certain cases, it may be necessary for the students to travel to another city to attend the practical trainings.

D) THE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM

SyncRoute Infranet Pvt. Ltd. has its own pattern of assessing the performance of the students, with a special focus on the method of self-learning. Hence, more importance is given to the on-going learning process, personal work of the students and the creative way of learning.

With this perspective in mind, we will be conducting on-going tests and assessments of students along with the end of the course assessment.

A student has to get at least 50% in the ongoing assessment (i.e. Quizzes, Class Test, etc.) and the end of the course assessment, in order to pass the certifi cation.

N.B.: The pattern of all written examinations, class tests as well as course-end examinations, will be general in nature and practical in orientation.

E) THE MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

The medium of instruction for the CTP-Wireless course is English. Hence, all the lectures and assignments will be only in English. Every student is expected to be at least reasonably profi cient in the written and spoken English, without which it will be extremely diffi cult to understand the lectures, write the examinations. Moreover, for job placement at the end of the course, a good knowledge of written and spoken English is absolutely essential.

F) PLACEMENT AND EMPLOYMENT

There is a bright future for employment in the fi eld of Wireless Telecom, as indicated earlier. On successful completion of their studies, the outgoing students of CTP-Wireless will be 100% assisted for placement with the Private Sector Services Providers and Network Equipment Manufactures, besides Private Sector Organisations such as Telecom Services and SI companies, through a systematic placement procedure of the Institute. On the part of the students, hard work, commendable character and personal conduct, profi ciency in English and good knowledge of the subjects are absolutely essential in order to get a good placement. With the full cooperation of the students, the Institute will be in a position to create the potential for the employment of all its outgoing students on successfully completing their CTP-Wireless certifi cation.

04. THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE

A) THE ADMISSION POLICY

All admissions will be based on our Company’s Admission System, which will follow the “fi rst come fi rst served basis” policy for all valid applications only.

B) ELIGIBILITY

Persons enrolling for Certifi ed Telecom Professional-Wireless should have Diploma or Engineering Degree in Electronics & Communication, Electronics, and Information Technology, Computer or any other communications branch. Students in the Third and Fourth Year of their Engineering courses or Second and Third year of their Diploma Engineering Courses in the abovementioned disciplines are also eligible for enrolmen including MSc Tech.

C) APPLICATIONS The Enrolment Form attached herewith should be fi lled in completely and submitted to our Offi ce

in Mumbai by Speed Post/Courier, along with the supporting and cheque/DD/proof of payment of Course fees.

05. THE FEE STRUCTURE

A) THE COURSE FEE:i) Non-Refundable Enrolment Fee: The Non-refundable Enrolment Fee is 5,000 per candidate.

On payment of this Enrolment Fee, the provisional admission will be temporarily confi rmed and fi nally confi rmed after the receipt of the actual Course Fees.

ii) Course Fee: The Course fee for this programme is 30,000/, which includes the cost of tuition.

iii) Course Material: Every student will pay 3,600 towards printed Course Material. This will be a useful tool as Technical Reference Guide in future.

There are no additional fees which will be chargeable for examinations, practicals and other activities.

B) INSTALMENT SCHEME: To facilitate the students who seek fi nancial assistance for payment of our entire fees in instalment,

we have the following plan on off er:

i) Enrolment Fee: 5,000/- to be paid fully in advance

ii) Course Material: 3,600/- to be paid fully in advance

iii) Instalment processing fees: 2,000/- to be paid fully in advance

iv) Course Fees in instalment plan: 10,000/- before the beginning of the course

iv) Second instalment of 20,000/- at the end of one month from the start date of the course

All the items mentioned in items B (i) to B (iii) above have to be paid along with the Enrolment form and the supporting.

06. EXPECTATIONS FROM THE STUDENTS The following are the expectations of the Institute from its students:

The students are expected to put in hard work and concentrate fully on their studies. 1.

Attendance is compulsory for all the classes and normally no one will be permitted to miss the 2. lectures for other functions or programmes, except in unavoidable circumstances.

The students are strongly discouraged from taking leave or being absent from the classes.3.

As time is a valuable factor for any successful leader and manager, every student is expected to 4. learn the art of time management and organize one’s time in the most fruitful manner.

All the fees are to be paid on time and the defaulters are liable to suitable penalty.5.

Since the classes will be conducted in the premises of our partner Hughes Global Education and 6. their partners, it is expected that the students maintain strict adherence to timings and late comers will not be encouraged.

As explained above, the students are expected to use all the equipment properly and not cause 7. any damage to it. Any such act found to be committed by our student voluntarily will be liable to be recovered fully from him/her.

All students are expected to adhere to proper moral conduct whilst online and any derogatory/8. infl ammatory/sexual oriented remarks/comments either online or otherwise is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with immediate termination of enrolment in such an event.
