The STORServer Enterprise Backup Appliance Administrator training course is web-based, lab-intensive and provides an understanding of how to configure and maintain a STORServer Enterprise Backup Appliance environment. STORServer offers a unique, hands-on training curriculum using IBM Spectrum Protect and the latest STORServer Appliance graphical interfaces and features.

Topics Include:

• Installing and customizing the STORServer Enterprise Backup Appliance server

• Installing and customizing the backup-archive clients

• Maintaining the IBM Spectrum Protect server database

• Familiarize the concepts and architecture of IBM Spectrum Protect

• Managing storage pools

• Managing data retention policies

• Managing schedules to automate backup and archive functions

• Using the client for backup and archive functions

• Verifying and troubleshooting client backups

• VMware backup and restore operations

• Using STORServer Console to perform daily operations and status reporting

Class duration: 2 days Location: Instructor led web based. On-site training available.

Certification classes are offered to teach customers how to most effectively manage their STORServer Backup Appliances. Classes are also offered for IBM Spectrum Protect users to learn how to install, customize and manage their systems.
