Cera Fibroflexis a unique single component water proofing compound supplied in powder

form, produced by blending selected acrylic co-polymers and different grades of treatedfibers that react with cement and other binders in the presence of water to producehomogeneous glue like slurry. Cera Fibroflex possesses excellent waterproofing & crackbridging properties and has good adhesion to all cementitious surfaces.

FUNCTION:

Cera Fibroflex is a high builtwaterproofing system wherein the ingressof moisture into the structural member is

prevented by a flexible membrane formedby the product. The unique matrixdistribution of speciality fibers assecondary reinforcement makes themembrane highly versatile. The highlyelastic nature of the membrane takes careof the stresses set up by temperature andresists crack formation.

USES:

Cera Fibroflex can be used as a

waterproofing membrane forunderground structures, water storageareas, reservoirs, industrial plants, parkingareas, etc.Cera Fibroflex can be used forwaterproofing balconies, terraces, bridgedecks, etc.

Cera Fibroflex can be used as waterproofing coating for exterior walls beforepainting of new and old buildings.

Cera Fibroflex can be used as a coatingmaterial in specifications where geo textilemembrane is sandwiched between coats.

Cera Fibroflex is ideally recommendedfor waterproofing applications where ahigh built system up to 3 - 4mm inthickness is required.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Surface Preparation: The surface mustbe clean and sound and free of dust, looseparticles, cement laitance, grease, rust andother contaminants. Insufficiently coveredreinforcement has to be treated with acorrosion protectant like Cera Zinc ZR.

Rough areas and honeycombs must belevelled with Cera Polymortar.

Absorbent surfaces (concrete, renderings,plaster) have to be pre-wetted with cleanwater. During application, the surface hasto be moist but free of puddles. Aminimum temperature of +5oC isessential.

Mixing: The Cera Fibroflex compoundshall be mixed with clean water @ 900mlper kg and stirred well using a mechanicalstirrer to obtain smooth lump freeconsistant slurry.

Mix only in small batches of one unit at atime which can be used within the pot life.Mixing of Cera Fibroflexwith water willresult in a plastic, thixotropic and easilyapplicable compound, even to vertical

surfaces.

Application:Apply the well- mixed CeraFibroflex slurry with brush or broomonto the prepared surface in one or twolayers. Do not apply more than 1.5mmper layer. The next layer can be applied assoon as the proceeding one is dry enoughto be wiped, i.e. as soon as it can bewalked on, but it is recommended to waitovernight.

The tools should be cleaned with waterbefore Cera Fibroflex hardens becausethe cured material is very hard to removeeven by machine.

Curing: Homogeneous hardening andhigh waterproofness are assured if CeraFibroflex does not dry too quickly. Henceit should be protected after applicationagainst heavy wind and intense sunshine.

Hardening Time: Cera Fibroflexcoated surface becomes dry in 3 hrs. Thearea can be recoated or plastered after a

period of 8 hrs.

POT LIFE:The working time of Cera Fibroflexdepends on the temperature - at 30oC

about 30 minutes.

COVERAGE:Cera Fibroflexwill have coverageof1.25kg /m2for 1 mm thickness. The coveragemay vary depending on the surfaceconditions.

PACKAGING:25 kg

SHELF LIFE:Keep under frost-free, cool and dryconditions. Cera Fibroflexcan be storedfor 12 months in tightly closed originalpackings.

SAFETY:Avoid contact with skin for prolongedperiod. Any contact with eye, washimmediately with plenty of water.
