Shri. Pramod Kumar Mishra has joined Prime Minister Office as Additional

Principal Secretary to Honourable Prime Minister of India.

Shri. Mishra is IAS officer from the 1972 batch. He has an enviable track

record. He was Principal Secretary to Shri. Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar

between 2001 and 2004. In Gujarat, he worked in the Rural Development,

Agriculture, Cooperation and Revenue departments and in the State

Electricity Corporation and the State Disaster Management Authority.

As Union agriculture secretary between 2006 and 2008, he was behind the

National Agriculture Development Programme and the National Food

Security Mission. He worked relentlessly to increase India's agricultural

GDP. His work in disaster management was appreciated at international

forums.

Mr Gurdeep Singh is currently the Managing Director of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd. Mr. Gurdeep Singh is a Mechanical Engineer and has over 26 years' experience in Power Generation sector. He started his career with NTPC and has worked at various levels both in Indian and Multi-National Companies namely Powergen, CLP and AES and has worked in different areas of Power Sector ranging from Business Development, Projects and Operations.Prior to joining GSECL, Mr. Singh was the Prsedient – Power at Calcutta Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation

Born on 27th July, 1955, Mr.Ashok Varma is a graduate in Petroleum Engineering from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. Prior to his joining as Director(Onshore), he was heading the Eastern Offshore Asset at Kakinada, where he was instrumental in putting the Eastern Offshore Asset on production. Mr.Varma joined ONGC in 1978 as Assistant Engineer at Assam. During his early years at ONGC, he was actively engaged in design and engineering of offshore platforms in western offshore. Subsequently, he served in Western Onshore at Ankleshwar where he extensively worked on water injection leading to initiation of pressure maintenance in Gandhar field. Mr.Varma steered the Imperial Energy in Russia, a subsidiary of the ONGC Videsh Limited, as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Varma pursued the hydrocarbon opportunities abroad as a part of senior management of ONGC Videsh Ltd. between 1996 and 2006. He was instrumental in acquiring 20% participating interest in Sakhalin-1 project in Russia by OVL in 2001. He also headed ONGC's Assam operations as Asset Manager from 2008 to 2009.

Shri Randeep Agarwal serves as a President of AIBC Queensland and has degrees in BEng, CPEng, PGDBM (UNSW). Randeep is a mechanical engineering graduate and a holder of post graduate diploma in Business from the University of New South Wales.Randeep has worked in the energy industry e.g. LNG/Natural gas & CSG (Coal Seam Gas) for most of his career. In Australia, he started with Woodside Energy in Western Australia before moving to Shell Global Solutions in The Hague the Netherlands on secondment. During three year secondment period in The Hague, from 2001 to 2004, Randeep worked in a Global consulting role and extensively travelled thru Europe, South East Asia, Japan, Canada & America.Currently, Randeep is working with Origin Energy in a principal engineering position and is based in Brisbane. Origin is a fuel integrated energy company with major interests in CSG, LNG & Renewables (wind, hydro & solar) in Australia, New Zealand & Asia.Randeep also serves on the Executive Committee of the Australian Institute of Energy in Queensland as Vice Chairman.

Shaleen Sharma is the President and Managing Director, BG India. Shaleen is responsible for managing the India operations of BG Group since July 2012.

Prior to taking over as head of BG India, Shaleen was the Managing Director of Gujarat Gas Company Limited (GGCL) for five years. GGCL was then a subsidiary of BG Group plc and was India's largest private sector gas distribution company in terms of sales volume.

Shaleen joined BG in 2000 and has been associated with a number of important assignments in BG India's core businesses, including Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) marketing, the Panna-Mukta and Tapti (PMT) Joint Venture (as BG's representative on the Joint Venture's Operator Board), direct marketing of PMT gas, and head of the Commercial function at GGCL before taking over as Managing Director.

Prior to his current association with BG India, Shaleen has worked with ONGC, GAIL and Petronet LNG covering many important business areas including finalisation and execution of the India's first long term LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement with RasGas, Qatar.

Shaleen has been actively associated with the CII as Head of the Energy Panel of CII-Gujarat from 2009-2011 and is a member of CII's National Committee of Hydrocarbon since 2012.

Shaleen, a B.Sc and a MBA (Lucknow), has 33 years of work experience, predominantly in the natural gas sector with major oil, gas and LNG companies operating in India.

Shri S. Vijay Iyer is Director of the World Bank's Sustainable Energy and Extractive Industries Department, where he guides the Bank's policies, programs and strategies in the energy and extractive industries sectors. This department is also responsible for World Bank-managed global partnership programs including the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program, the Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership, and the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative Multi-Donor Trust Fund.He has also served on the UN Secretary General's Technical Group on Sustainable Energy for All. Before his appointment to this position in June 2011, he was Manager of the Bank's Africa Energy Group, where he led initiatives for sub-Saharan African countries to support energy access through investments in hydropower, geothermal and electrification projects, as well as innovative programs such as Lighting Africa. An Indian national, Iyer has worked in private industry, project finance and banking.Shri Iyer has also been a senior official with the Indian Civil Service, holding several positions in public administration and economic development. He holds an MBA from Yale University and a Master's in Chemistry from Jabalpur University in India.

Shri Dipesh Dipu works as an Associate Professor in the Center for Energy and Infrastructure Development of ASCI. He has experience of more than a decade in consulting and financial advisory in mining and energy sector with major focus on coal, iron ore, other minerals and power generation. Mr. Dipu is a Mining Engineering graduate from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter-holder from Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. He has also completed an executive program in business management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

He has extensive experience in mining sector. He has worked on assignments ranging from the target identification and transaction support for acquisition of the mines in various countries; bid process management for contractor selection; financial due diligence, commercial and regulatory due diligence, market analysis for coal and other minerals; and strategy formulations & business planning. He has assisted government and private companies in selection of mine developer cum operator (MDO) and also contract mining companies in bidding for the MDO contracts for coal and iron ore mines in India, Indonesia and Zambia.

Mr. Dipu has been awarded the Abheraj Baldota Gold Medal for the Young Mining Engineer of the Year 2007 by the Mining Engineers' Association of India in recognition of his contributions in the improvement of mining industry in India.

Prior to joining ASCI, Dipesh has worked with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt Ltd as director in consulting practice, with Maamba Collieries Ltd in Zambia as CEO and with PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt Ltd as Principal Consultant in Energy, Utilities and Mining practice. He has also worked with NMDC Limited in the Bailadila iron ore mines in Chhattisgarh.

Shri K.K. Sharma has 38+ Years of diverse experience in Establishing and O&M of large Thermal Power, Hydro and Coal Mining Projects as a Professional Manager, Strategic Planner and a Business Leader. He successfully led several strategic initiatives starting from feasibility evaluation to execution of projects.

A skilled negotiator and problem solver, Sh. K. K. Sharma has served NTPC as Regional ED of Hydro, Mining & ER-II regions and has steered NTPC projects with his immaculate planning skills during his stint as ED (PP&M).

Sh. Sharma had been a part time Director in the board of CIL-NTPC Urja Pvt Ltd (JV of NTPC & Coal India Ltd) since company formation. He had also been a part time As Chief Executive Officer of NSPCL, Sh. K. K. Sharma is responsible for day to day functioning of the Company inclusive of its Captive Power Plants at Bhilai, Rourkela, Durgapur and coal based expansion plant at Bhilai.

Some of the recent initiatives under taken at NSPCL are capacity addition of one new unit of 250 MW each at Rourkela (1x250 MW) & Bhilai (1x250 MW), and addition of two new units at Durgapur (2x20MW), for which preliminary work has been started

He has a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and has done his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IIM Calcutta.He has over 31 years of experience across several industry sectors, including 20 years in the oil and gas industry, leading and transforming existing and new businesses. Prior to joining Jubilant, he has worked with HDFC Education & Development Services Ltd, SUNTERA, Hindustan Oil Exploration Ltd, TCS, TATA PETRODYNE LIMITED and Hitech Drilling Services (India) Ltd.

Ajay Khandelwal, a British National, is an Electrical Engineer (1989-1993) from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, Mumbai and holds a MBA (1999-2000) from Cranfield School of Management, in the United Kingdom.

Ajay joined Reliance Group in 2013 after more than 20 years of diverse experience in multinational corporations in the energy and infrastructure sectors across India, the Middle East, Europe and the US. His responsibilities included

• Managing a listed company,

• Handling IPO, M&A and private equity investment in oil & gas,

• Business development& project management,

• Managing government relationship & regulatory affairs,

Currently as President Petroleum E&P, Ajay is member of Senior Leadership Team (SLT) responsible for E&P business regulatory and corporate affairs, branding and reputation management. As President Ajay reports the Executive Director for Exploration & Production (a Board Position). Ajay currently represents RIL in various Industry forums such as CII, Association of Oil & Gas Operators (AOGO), etc.

In his earlier assignment as CEO, Jubilant Energy, an E & P company based in India, Ajay was responsible for all business operations, government relationships, governance, new business initiatives etc. As CEO he steered Jubilant Energy through its IPO leading to its listing on London AIM market in 2010. He was also Director of the Association of Oil and Gas Operators (AOGO) India.

As Investment Advisor to the family office of John Fredriksen (a Norwegian billionaire) from September 2006 - July 2009 he focused on energy businesses, guiding investment across 9 private equity fund in US, Europe and Asia. He was on the advisory board of 6 PE funds in US and Asia. Ajay was also involved in various M&A activities involving 3 listed entities controlled by family. Some of the deals included reverse acquisition of Dock wise by Sealift, Golar MLP, and Investment in US E&P technology company, Co-investments along with PE fund, etc.

Between August 2001 - September 2006, he worked with Shell International, participating in LNG deal negotiations in Oman, E&P M&A work in US, Nigeria, Iran and Russia. He left Shell Ajay as Lead Investment Finance for upstream M&A business with focus on Europe and the North Sea.

Before moving to India in August 2009, Ajay was based in London where he stayed for just over a decade.

His previous experience straddle Power Business development from 1993-1999 which coincided with the liberalization of power generation in India.

In addition to MBA, Ajay has also undertaken short term M&A specific programme at Wharton Business School and Insead Business School.

Ajay's interests include running, hockey and football. An avid marathon enthusiast he has completed several multiple half and full marathons in London, Rotterdam, Mumbai. He has also participated in the North Pole marathon (in 2011) and the Ultra Himalayan 100 miles stage run in November 2012.

Known for his conceptual, analytical, technical, administrative, leadership and management skills, Mr. Malik has vast experience and exposure in multiple facets of ONGC's operations - Production, Project Management and Marketing at multiple locations of ONGC viz. Mumbai, Dehradun, Nazira, Assam Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad and in ONGC Videsh at Sudan as Country Manager and at Imperial Energy, Russia.Mr. Yash Malik joined ONGC in 1982 as a Production Engineer after completing Bachelor of Engineering. Shri Niladri Kumar Mitra is the Chief Operating Officer at GSPC. He has more than 40 years' experience in E&P Operations. Prior to that Shri Mitra was working with Reliance Industries Limited as President (Drilling, Completions Technology) where he has worked on Technical Offshore, Onshore Operations. Prior to that Shri Mitra has worked with Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited as Director (Offshore) wherein he has gained experience in Oil & Gas Production, Project Management, Offshore & Onshore Plant Operation, Offshore Safety, Projects/Engineering & Field Development .

Shri Mitra is a graduate in Petroleum Engineering from Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad. He was also the Member of Board of ONGC Videsh Ltd, Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd, Petronet LNG Ltd, Pawan Hans Helicopter India and ONGC Petro Additions Ltd.

Shri Mitra has served ONGC for more than 36 years in various technical, managerial and administrative capacities. He was instrumental in bringing automation in offshore new technologies and redevelopment exercises in Mumbai High fields and Heera & Neelam fields to arrest the decline in production.

Shri Mitra is the chairperson of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) India chapter and is in the executive committee of many international and national conferences & forums. He is one of the founder members of Indo-Norway Joint Working Group on Hydrocarbon Sector. He has been conferred the "Best Offshore Oil & Gas Man from India" from IORS.

Shri Mitra has written over 50 articles in various national and international journals and delivered more than 30 keynote addresses. He has authored a book titled "Fundamentals of Floating Production System" for undergraduate students and for Exploration & Production industries.

Shri Atul Sobti, aged 55 years, is a 'Mechanical Graduate Engineer' with 'Post Graduation in International Management' and 'Diploma in Project Management'. He has also undergone Advance Management Training Programmes at IIM, Ahmedabad and Asian Institute of Management, Manila.

Shri Sobti has a repertoire of diverse and versatile professional experience of 34 years, working in various capacities in all major segments of BHEL including International Operations Division, a major Manufacturing Plant of BHEL at Hyderabad, New Capital Projects, Corporate Planning & Development and Project Engineering Systems & Integration Divisions at BHEL Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Presently, he is working as Director (Power) in BHEL and is responsible for spearheading the Power Sector business of BHEL, which constitutes nearly 80% of BHEL business. Under his leadership, BHEL achieved the highest ever Commissioning / Synchronisation of Power projects in 2013-14. He is currently also holding additional charge of the post of Director (Engineering, R&D) in BHEL.

During his tenures at BHEL units at Bangalore and Hyderabad, the units achieved record financial and physical performance. He was also instrumental in steering the future growth plans and new business initiatives in these divisions. During his tenure at BHEL's International Operations Division, he was a key contributor to a fifteen fold increase in its overseas business through securing and executing prestigious power projects and product orders from many countries including Oman, UAE, Iraq, Libya, China, Kazakhstan, Suriname, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Kuwait, Ukraine, etc. As a member of New Capital Projects Group, in the eighties, Shri Sobti was actively associated in setting up of new BHEL plants at Rudrapur, Varanasi, PCRI-Haridwar, Jagdishpur, Goindwal, etc. During his tenure in Corporate Planning & Development, he worked in various areas including Strategic Planning, Capital Investments, MoU, Operations Monitoring, Technology Licensing, etc. He was involved in drawing Corporate Plans of BHEL as well as creating Vision, Mission and Values for the company.

Shri Sobti is also Part-time Chairman on the board of Raichur Power Corporation Limited [a Joint Venture Company (JVC) of BHEL and Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd] and Part-time Director on the Board of NTPC - BHEL Power Projects Limited, (NBPPL), a BHEL - NTPC JVC.

Dr. Sircar is Director Incharge, School of Petroleum Technology, PDPU. He completed his B.Sc. in Geo. Science and M.Sc. in Exploration Geophysics from IIT Kharagpur. He did his M.Tech in Petroleum Exploration and Ph.D. in Reservoir Tomography from ISM Dhanbad. He received gold medal from ISM Dhanbad for topping the list in M. Tech. Additionally he possess PG Diploma in Business Administration from Annamalai University.He has immense experience in both field and in academics. He has worked with companies like joined Jubilant Group (Oil & Gas), L&T Oil & Gas (E&P), Tullow India Operations Ltd, Prize Petroleum Company Ltd (a JV company of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd).His technical experience includes Reservoir Modeling, Reservoir Simulation, Field Development, Seismic Interpretation, Probabilistic Resource/Reserve estimation etc.

Mr. C Manoharan joined Essar Oil Limited as Head of Refinery in May 2008. He was elevated as Director (Refinery) in March 2012. He is a Chemical Engineer from Calicut University, Kerala and started his career as Engineer Trainee in 1977 at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Gujarat Refinery, Baroda. He handled a variety of key assignments in various positions in Refining Operations, Maintenance, and Technical Services at Gujarat Refinery, Panipat Refinery as well as Head Office (Refinery Division). His last assignment with IOCL was at Panipat Refinery as Executive Director. He had the privilege of associating with the construction and commissioning of various Refinery Projects including the first FCC unit in IOCL and first Hydrocracker Unit in the Country.

Mr. Manoharan has also worked for 2 years on deputation to Nigeria providing technical assistance to the operating personnel at Port Harcourt Refinery of NNPC. He was a Board member of Indian Oil Technologies Limited from May 2004 and as Chairman of the Board from January 2007 to March 2008. He also has the distinction of being the first Indian to be on the panel of NPRA’s Q&A 2003 session held at New Orleans in U.S.A.
