I am extremely honored and proud to congratulate you on the first anniversary of the establishment of Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC). As I recall the early beginnings, it seems like it was just yesterday that KIPIC was founded. New beginnings are always faced with fears and challenges, especially launching a company of KIPIC’s magnitude that will be responsible for managing and operating large strategic projects. The first question that presented itself during the early days of the company’s establishment was, what did we aspire to achieve through this new company? The clear answer was to make more possible by integrating the management and operation of the largest petroleum complex in our country. We are driven by our main goal of building a better and brighter future for Kuwait by diversifying the economy, applying state of the art technologies in the oil industries, providing clean sustainable energy supplies, and creating new job opportunities for Kuwait’s youth. We have developed a thorough long-term plan that caters to our vision, ensuring that we create an optimum work environment that combines all success factors. KIPIC succeeded in attracting qualified experts and high caliber employees from our subsidiary companies who have become KIPIC’s best resource and largest asset. With the new wave of expertise, we aim to instill a proactive work culture and implement it as integral part of our brand and identity.We appreciate the unprecedented support from our colleagues at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and our fellow companies, and their support in the launch of KIPIC.

Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) has announced the signing of three contracts with US Honeywell UOP to supply technology for KIPIC’s Petrochemicals Complex (PRIZe). This will pave the way for localizing technology and qualifying Kuwaiti technical cadres to oversee operations in the future.

“These contracts are in line with KIPIC’s plan and strategy for the integration of its three mega-projects – Al-Zour Refinery, LNG Import Facilities and the Petrochemicals Complex),” CEO Hashim Sayed Hashim

and Liquefied Gas Ahmad Al-Jeemaz disclosed that US Honeywell UOP is a world-leading company with an extensive history in manufacturing petrochemical, Honeywell UOP has been carefully selected after studying the technical and economic aspects of the company, and ensuring added value.

Ahmad Al-Jeemaz also added that the US company has supplied technology and consulting and engineering

studies in oil, natural gas and petrochemical industries to many local, regional and international plants, the partnership includes supporting operations of the plant in a safe and efficient manner, as well as providing technological assistance as long as the factory exists.

“This is a significant step towards a long-term partnership, paving way for localizing technology and qualifying Kuwaiti technical cadres to be responsible for operations in the future”, he noted.

heavy crude in Kuwait’s refineries, including Al-Zour. This technology enables us to produce low-sulfur fuel oil,” he said. He went on to affirm that Kuwait has three-decades of experience in desulfurizing heavy crude. Addressing those present in a ceremony held at Al-Zour 2 Building during the first anniversary of the company, Hashim called to mind a host of major events in KIPIC’s history.

“The foundation process was not that easy. We completed the required documents from Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the Ministries of Justice, Commerce and Industry, It was a colossal challenge but we laid down a detailed and comprehensive plan for a company that owns enormous assets; Al-Zour Refinery will be one of the largest in the region, as well as LNG Import Facilities and the Petrochemicals Complex (PRIZe),” Mr. Hashim stated.

“We started with just a few people, established the administrative, financial and legal structures with the help of our key employees and newly graduated Kuwaiti youth.”

“This achievement would not have been possible without team spirit. Still, there will be more challenges ahead, but I am confident in you. You the team that will build the region’s largest oil complex,” he told the staff.

“I also commend the continued support of KPC and fellow subsidiary companies – Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) in particular,” Mr. Hashim concluded.

KIPIC has organized the second introductory meeting for the staff who transferred to the company. A total of 126 employees will work and undergo training at Mina Abdullah Refinery for two years.

The meeting was part of a plan to transfer employees from Shuaiba Refinery to KIPIC, said Al-Zour Refinery's Operations Group Manager Ali Al-Ajmi.

“Employees will undergo training regarding the process of units similar to those they will work on at Al-Zour Refinery in the future. They will participate in intensive training programs both in Kuwait and overseas,” he disclosed.

Al-Ajmi said the large group includes those in high-level posts, indicating that they will be trained on operating Al-Zour refinery. Ongoing arrangements with Mina Abdullah Refinery’s Operations Department have been made to meet the trainees need and to ensure they fully benefit from

the training.“The introductory meeting aims to get the new

staff acquainted with certain matters related to emergencies and assembly points,” Operations Controller at Mina Abdullah Refinery Ashraf Masoud explained.

KIPIC’s supervisors will monitor the training and they will be present with the employees throughout the training.

Acting Process Team Leader at Al-Zour Refinery Saad Al-Banwa revealed that 126 employees who previously worked at Shuaiba Refinery have joined KIPIC as of October 2.”

Moreover, regarding potential challenges during training, Al-Banwa stated, “These challenges might be logistical matters related to the staff’s needs.” Although he confirmed that the training, which the employees will undergo at Shuaiba Refinery, “will be very useful for them in the future.”

The Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) has opened a clinic to serve its staff in Al-Zour 1 and Al-Zour 2.

“Caring for our employees’ health is essential for us,” said Health, Safety and Security Group Manager Abdullah Al-Awadhi.

He added that a clinic for the company’s staff is a basic part of health and safety policies.

Al-Awadhi pointed out that cooperation with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) made it possible to establish the first clinic for KIPIC’s staff, disclosing the clinic will serve 200 people.

“Within two weeks, we will have an ambulance for the staff in case of accidents. With a doctor and two nurses who are available during official working hours — from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm”.

“By the end of the year, a similarly-equipped second

clinic will be opened at Olympia Towers. Once the staff move to Al-Zour 4, there will be a third one. An integrated medical center will eventually be placed when Al-Zour Refinery project is completed,” Al-Awadhi added.

Senior Occupational Health Specialist Jamal Suwilam asserted: “It is vital for the implementation of health, safety and environment policies to have a clinic for KIPIC staff. Thanks to the support of the higher administration and fellow companies that helped with the provision of equipment and medical team, the clinic has become a reality.”

It consists of three rooms; one for examination, another for the specialist doctor and a third for nurses.

Suwilam revealed that KIPIC plans to have a heliport for medical evacuations, and that the company has coordinated with the concerned ministries regarding this plan.

KIPIC keeps pace with modern technology

KIPIC has announced that all staff in its Technical Services Group have been using Skype for Business, OneDrive and OneNote applications since July to stay in line with modern day technology and facilitate our work much faster.

The announcement was made during a meeting with a number of staff from Technical Services and IT Groups at Al-Zour 2 building.

KIPIC’s staff in different sites – Mina Abdullah Refinery, Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery and Engineering Group at Al-Zour 1 – as well as three newly-graduate engineers who are now in Korea, are using Office 365-Skype for Business, OneDrive and OneNote applications, Stated Manager of Technical Services at Al-Zour Refinery Abdullah Hendi Al-Ajmi

He disclosed that they keep in contact with KIPIC’s staff who are on overseas missions through these applications.

As an initiative by the Technical Services Group, all of its staff are now using these applications to share information and files simultaneously, he noted.

These applications made things smooth and easy as they can be accessed through personal mobile phones, he added.

“We have highly efficient engineers and the applications are open to everyone. The IT officials have provided us with all the support we need,” Al-

Ajmi said. “We were really pleased when we received a note from the IT officers recommending the use of these applications. We have been using them since July,” he narrated.

Engineer Fahid Al-Ajmi from the Technical Services Group clarified, “This a monthly meeting with newly-graduate engineers who are undergoing training for up to two years in the company’s refineries, in addition to the employees being trained in Korea for the LNG Import Facilities.” Each engineer presents an account of the progress made in the past month and the achievement plan for the next month, he added.

“We have been using Office 365 applications since July. The group decided to use them for communication purposes as the staff are working in different locations, locally and globally. It has been fruitful, as demonstrated during the meeting. An employee can follow up and take part in the meetings from anywhere,” he noted.

New ideas are hard to grasp or accept at first, but the response has been positive.

These applications they save our efforts in file-sharing, Al-Ajmi added. “The applications have been essential in the interaction with the company’s employees who are undergoing training abroad,” he enthused.

“This coordination meeting is done regularly. We

discovered the great benefits of using these applications to coordinate efforts in different sites and update documents regularly,” said Al-Zour Refinery’s Process Engineering Team Leader Ahmad Al-Majid.

One thought it would take months, but within a few weeks, all the staff members at the Technical Services Group mastered the applications, he added.

They have streamlined file-search even through personal mobile phones, Al-Majid said. “We communicated with engineers undergoing training in Korea as if they were at the meeting with us,” he disclosed.

The applications have proved to be hugely beneficial for the company and its staff.

Design Engineer Nassar Al-Asfar reiterated that the applications have been a significant part in facilitating technical operations and network sharing.

Al-Asfar went on to explain, “The advantages of Office 365, saying the meeting included engineers in Korea who gave updates on what they have achieved there so far. This will be beneficial to the work mechanism in the company. “It was a fruitful meeting in the truest sense of the word,” he stressed.

Technology plays a crucial role in our work and facilitates completion of tasks assigned to us, Process Engineer Eman Al-Mutairi said.

“It also makes it easy for our officials to follow

up and amend our views; thereby, saving time and effort,” she added. “This will have a positive effect on file-saving and amendments. What strengthens the effectiveness of these applications is that they allow access through personal mobile phones, not necessary through a personal computer,” she explained.

She went on to say that OneDrive helps her access certain files through her mobile phone “anytime and anywhere.”

“I would like to thank the IT Group for the tremendous efforts they exerted and the technological solutions they provided to simplify our work,” Al-Mutairi said.

First Safety and Technology Engineer Qais Al-Doob from the IT Group said: “We are proud that the Process Division is using this modern technology. The conversation with engineers in Korea was positive and effective.”

These technological applications have demonstrated their effectiveness and benefits, Al-Doob added, hoping that other sections and groups will also use them.

“I would like to laud the staff for quickly understanding these applications as they always strive towards using the latest technology,” he said.

Al-Doob revealed that they intend to use more applications in the future, saying: “What has been used so far is just the beginning, but it will be beneficial for the work mechanism.”

KIPIC said the work in Al-Zour 4 will be completed by the end of March 2018. Once completed, the building will be used as temporary headquarters for KIPIC’s administration. It will be home for more than 200 employees who follow up developments in the company’s mega-projects.

Following an inspection visit to the building, which used to be a school, that the company rented from the Ministry of Education; KIPIC’s CEO Hashim Sayed Hashim affirmed this is one of the key sites to cover the company’s needs, particularly the employees as it consists of many offices that will streamline the work mechanism. I would like to thank the Ministry of Education that helped turn the school into offices for the company. I also thank the Foreign Affairs Ministry for its contribution to the preparation of major premises,” he said.

The site is still under preparation and it will be ready by March to serve as home to KIPIC’s administration and staff who follow up the progress of the company’s projects.

KIPIC’s Deputy CEO for Petrochemicals and Liquefied Gas Ahmed Saleh Al-Jeemaz explained the inspection visit to the school, which is being transformed into offices, is part of the company’s keenness and commitment to provide a favorable work environment that is necessary for the staff

to be productive.“Work is proceeding in leaps and bounds in

terms of preparing the premises. Al -Zour 4 will be one of the key offices for those managing KIPIC’s mega-projects,” Al-Jeemaz added.

“The building will be used as temporary premises for the company’s higher administration that directly supervise projects and other categories of employees like senior engineers, team leaders and managers, in addition to meetings rooms.

“Turning the education facility into an administrative building has been a colossal challenge. A comprehensive study was conducted prior to the transformation works. Engineering restructuring works were carried out to ensure the building serves as a suitable environment for managing the company’s work,” he said.

“We faced various challenges in transforming the school building into company premises, but we overcame all of them,” Building Maintenance Team Leader Fayez Al-Mathkour said. “We thank the Ministry of Education for renting out the school building to us until 2020,” he added.

KIPIC conducted its 1st fire drill in a record time in cooperation with Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD), and it was a great opportunity to identify the errors and challenges that the employees may encounter.The evacuation of the company’s top

management and departmental staff was conducted smoothly by KIPIC’s HSE Group, all the employees gathered at the designated assembly points.“This was the first time that the fire

drill was performed, and thankfully everyone was cooperative and they were all able to exit the building safely” said HSE, Security & Fire Manager, Abdullah Al-Awadhi.

Company Head Officer, Isaa Abdulrahman affirmed that the drill was effective and was carried out according to plan. Also, the staff was very responsive. The drill was conducted in

KIPIC’s managment with UOP’s officials

KIPIC participated in the 1st International Symposium on Residue Hydrotreating (ResidHydroTreat 2017) and presented two work papers at the event.

KIPIC’s DCEO for Petrochemicals and LNGI, Ahmad Al-Jeemaz said that the three-day conference is regarded as the fruit of hard labor for about two years. Thankfully, it came out as an honorable world-class image, he enthused.

“The symposium focused on desulfurizing heavy crude in Kuwait’s refineries, including Al-Zour. This technology enables us to produce low-sulfur fuel oil,” he said.

He went on to affirm that Kuwait has 30 years of experience in desulfurizing heavy crude. Moreover, several work papers from around the world were discussed during the conference in addition to KIPIC’s presentation which reviewed the specifications of high-technology process units that the company will establish.

“KIPIC is a world-class company with vast potentials and abilities to compete in providing various products. It will be of prime importance in Kuwait’s oil sector, especially since it will cover 70 percent of the country’s need for power,” stated Al-Jeemaz.

Referring to KIPIC’s Petrochemicals Complex (PRIZe) project, Al-Jeemaz revealed the company already surpassed the scheduled rate of achievement by 1.5 percent.

Meanwhile, KIPIC’s Process Engineering Team Leader, Ahmad Al-Majid said that the conference had a strategic outlook, as the entire world tends to desulfurize heavy crude.

“It was the very first conference and we look forward to more of its kind, since the topic is crucial and will gain more importance in the future,” Al-Majid added.

He affirmed that KIPIC presented two work papers at the international symposium.

In the main work paper, KIPIC’s Manager for Corporate Planning, Nadia Al-Hajji focused on “Kuwait’s Atmospheric Residue Desulfurization (ARDS) journey,” and the second paper which was presented by Ahmad Al-Majid covered the challenges in designing the desulphurization unit at Al-Zour Refinery and stressed the need to meet environmental requirements.

“We have to conform to the international criteria to meet the requirements of the open world market. We are strictly following the conditions set by the Environment Public Authority (EPA),” he added.

KIPIC eager to recruit Kuwaiti youth to assume responsibility in the future

Contracts signed with specialized world companies to provide technology for petrochemical manufacturing.

KIPIC keen on technology training

KIPIC has been working productively applying globally-acknowledged standards and state of the art technology in managing operations and refineries, so that it can be a world leading company, said DCEO for Financial and Administrative Affairs Mahmoud Abul.

The company is providing the necessary training for staff on the latest technology, in order to enable them to be at the helm in the future, promoting KIPIC to the top levels, he added.

Furthermore, He said that KIPIC’s strategic projects are being perfectly implemented in line with schedule, and stressed that “priority is given to achieving the concept of integration in the oil industry, coping with the strategic orientations of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).

Abul hopes that the projects will offer a good start for diversifying sources of income, stimulating the national economy, providing energy and creating fresh opportunities for secondary and downstream industries.

He revealed that the contracts have recently been signed with leading specialized companies to provide technology for some manufacturing units at the Petrochemicals Complex (PRIZe).

No doubt, the coming period will see plenty of challenges, including close follow-up of the perfect execution of contracts of projects the company is carrying out, he said.“We aspire to be the leading company in the refining and petrochemicals on both regional, and global levels,” he stated. Following is the full transcript of the interview:

How would you assess the progress of work in KIPIC’s three projects?

Challenges are enormous, yet work at the three mega-projects is proceeding as perfectly as ever, and in line with the set schedule.

This is the outcome of cooperation and unrelenting efforts by the company’s administration and staff, fellow companies, and all the relevant ministries and state agencies.

The company is highly concerned about the all-inclusive concept of integration. How, in your opinion, is integration important in the oil sector?

There is concentration and priority given to achieving integration in the oil industry, in line with the strategic orientations of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) in the refining and petrochemical sector.

Integration will maximize oil revenues, through making the utmost use of resources in the refining and the petrochemical industries, incurring further added-value to the Kuwaiti crude. This will contribute to the growth of the Kuwaiti economy and will increase state revenues.

In KIPIC, we hope these projects will be a good start for diversifying sources of income, stimulating the national economy, providing energy and creating new opportunities for secondary and downstream industries.

They will also create new job opportunities for Kuwaitis.

Al-Zour complex, which includes the Al-Zour Refinery, the LNG Import Facilities and the Petrochemicals Complex (PRIZe), is one of the largest in the region.

KIPIC is eager to keep pace with modern technology in its departments. How can you brief us on this?

Technology has witnessed breath-taking progress over the past years, especially towards the end of the last century. In KIPIC, we have always been keen on keeping pace with the advancements.

This will bring in more financial returns on the long run,

and will reduce risks, as well as speeding up operations. We are eager to employ the latest technology in our facilities for production efficiency and high quality of oil products, coping with the globally-acknowledged standards.

Recently, purchase of licensed contracts has been signed with world’s leading specialized companies to provide technology for some manufacturing units at the Petrochemicals Complex (PRIZe).

What challenges, do you think, you are facing after transfer of project contracts from the fellow companies?

KIPIC is managing mega-projects and the challenges are massive. Each stage has its own challenges. Transfer of contracts was just an example.

But for the synergy of efforts among colleagues of the Commercial and Legal Department with other relevant sections, the achievement wouldn’t have been a reality.

As for the coming stage, it goes without saying that it will be full of challenges, including the close follow-up of the execution of these contracts as perfectly as ever. In addition, there are a lot of requirements that necessitate doubling efforts to provide, such as the contracts for the post-construction and building stage.

Contracts go through various stages, drafting and assessment, then comes qualification of contractors and companies. Implementation of contracts has to be efficient and effective, through cooperation of everyone. There are agreements with fellow companies covering these stages.

What is your ambition for KIPIC on the regional and international levels?

In fact, we aspire for being a leading company in refining and petrochemical on the regional, and global levels.

We are not the first in the region to apply the concept of integration in the oil industry, yet we are hard at work to make KIPIC a leading company in the field. We are also seeking to be among the best on the world scene, achieving a quantum shift in the oil and gas industry

through integration between refining and petrochemicals to augment the added-value of the Kuwaiti crude and to achieve more glory for the State of Kuwait.

Is the door still open for Kuwaiti youth to join KIPIC? What are the specializations on demand?

Yes, of course! In KIPIC, we are keen on recruiting Kuwaiti youth who will assume responsibility in the future. It is a priority for us to provide training for our sons, and qualify them to be at the helm in the future.

Kuwaiti ambitious youth have a good opportunity to join KIPIC and prove themselves. We trust their capabilities and skills.

Some employees have already been appointed, and many others have joined us from the fellow oil companies, mostly from the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). We will carry on with hiring new people. Kuwaitization in KIPIC has exceeded 90 percent, and we are proceeding with recruiting Kuwaiti cadres, the real wealth and the major nucleus of the company.

We have accepted a huge number of Kuwaiti graduates in most engineering specializations, as well as technical ones from diploma holders.

There were also opportunities for Kuwaiti graduates in the administration, accounting and law departments.

The company is now working on preparing the rest of the job descriptions, according to the what is needed. This will identify the required specializations.

- How far is the company eager to enforce environmental requirements and procedures for security and safety?

KIPIC pays utmost attention to issues of health, safety and environment. This is the key source for preserving the human element. We aim to guarantee the health and safety of all employees, workers, contractors, suppliers and agents, at all sites, seeking a great positive return. We are also so keen on the environment at all our sites.

Commitment to such prime elements contribute to preservation, sustainability and effectiveness of facilities.

We are very eager to conform with the ecological laws and the environmental, health and safety measures for the good of all.

Therefore, we have adopted the best global measures and practices on health, safety and environment, for the good of all and for preserving the environment of out dear nation Kuwait.

How will moving to Al-Zour 4 next year affect work mechanism at KIPIC?

Moving to Al-Zour 4, close to worksites, is essential and will help boost efficiency and facilitate supervision, monitoring and implementation of projects. It will also push ahead work mechanism in the company, providing a distinctive and a favorable work environment.

What top values KIPIC is eager to instill in staff?

There is no doubt that we are an integral part of KPC, as a subsidiary company, and KPC has developed the overall values which staff of the oil sector adhere to. These include stimulation, integrity and commitment to environmental, health and safety requirements, in addition to values of institutional thinking and flexibility.

The company has adopted all these values, and the code of business conduct is the same dominant one all over the oil sector.

KIPIC is so keen on instilling these values in the staff, together with applying the code of business conduct. We are educating our staff on them in coordination with the KPC. These are general rules dominant in the entire sector.

What would you like to say in conclusion?We are all working for our dear nation Kuwait, and we

are seeking to achieve the strategic and developmental orientations and goals of the state through providing energy- backbone of development – and creating opportunities for secondary and downstream industries through the three mega projects. This will benefit Kuwait a lot and place it among advanced nations, besides providing new job opportunities for the Kuwaiti youth who will assume responsibility in the future.

املؤمتــر الــذي اســتمر لثالثــة أيــام. للغــاز التنفيــذي الرئيــس نائــب قــال بــدوره والبتروكيماويــات أحمــد اجليمــاز إن هــذا املؤمتــر نتــاج جهــد اســتمر قرابــة عامــن، واحلمــد هلل خــرج بصــورة

وتابــع: العمــل يســير يف املدرســة علــى قــدم وســاق لتجهيــز املكاتــب ونتوقــع زيــادة عــدد العمالــة يف الشــركة، وســيكون مبنــى الــزور 4 أحــد املقــار الرئيســّية التــي ســتدار مــن

خاللهــا مشــاريع الشــركة العمالقــة. وأضــاف: ســيكون يف هــذا املبنــى مقــر مؤقــت لــإدارة العليــا لكــي تتمكــن مــن اإلشــراف املباشــر علــى مشــاريع مهندســن مــن املســتويات جميــع وســيحوي الشــركة، أوائــل ورؤســاء فــرق ومديريــن وغــرف اجتماعــات وأماكــن

إلدارة العمــل. وذكــر أن حتويــل هــذا املبنــى التعليمــي ملبنــى إداري يشــكل حتديــاً كبيــراً ولذلــك متــت دراســته بشــكل شــامل وإعــادة هيكلتــه هندســياً حتــى يتحــول لبيئــة مناســبة إلدارة أعمال

الشركة. مــن جانبــه قــال رئيــس فريــق عمــل مكتــب اإلدارة وصيانــة املبانــي فايــز املذكــور إنــه مــن املتوقــع االنتهــاء مــن املشــروع ــر مــن 200 موظــف، ــة شــهر مــارس، وســيحوي أكث بنهايملقــر املبنــى هــذا لتحويــل واجهتنــا حتديــات وهنــاك للشــركة إال أننــا تغلبنــا عليهــا، ونشــكر وزارة التربيــة التــي أعطتنــا هــذه املدرســة بإيجــار ســنوي حتــى عــام 2020.

ســتخدم العاملــن يف مبنــى الــزور1 والــزور2.مــن جانبــه قــال مديــر مجموعــة الصحــة والســالمة والبيئــة عبــداهلل العوضــي: " صحــة املوظفــن أمــر أساســي لدينــا ومــن أساســيات الصحــة والســالمة وجــود عيــادة للشــركة ، وهــو األمــر الــذي مت بالتعــاون مــع شــركة البتــرول الوطنيــة الكويتيــة لتكــون هــذه أول عيــادة للبتروليــة املتكاملــة والتــي ســتغطي

أعلــن الرئيــس التنفيــذي للشــركة الكويتيــة للصناعــات البتروليــة املتكاملــة هاشــم ســيد هاشــم أن نســبة التكويــت يف الشــركة جتــاوزت 90% مــن إجمالــي عــدد العاملــن بهــا، معربــا عــن اعتــزازه وســعادته بهــذا اإلجنــاز.

واســتعرض هاشــم، خــالل حديثــه يف احلفــل الــذي أقامتــه الشــركة مببنــى الــزور2 مبناســبة الذكــرى األولــى لتأسيســها، بعــض احملطــات الرئيســّية

يف تاريــخ الشــركة. وتابــع "عمليــة التأســيس لــم تكــن ســهلة فقــد اســتطعنا إنهــاء األوراق والتجــارة العــدل ووزارتــي الكويتيــة البتــرول مؤسســة مــن املطلوبــة وتأســيس الكيــان القانونــي وكان هــذا حتديــا كبيــراً لكننــا وضعنــا خطــة متأنيــة بشــكل تفصيلــي وعملــي لشــركة متتلــك أصــوال ضخمــة، فمصفــاة الــزور مــن أكبــر املصــايف يف املنطقــة وكذلــك مرافق اســتيراد الغاز املســال ــات". مــن أكبــر املرافــق يف املنطقــة باإلضافــة إلــى مجمــع البتروكيماويوأضــاف: "بدأنــا بأشــخاص معدوديــن علــى األصابــع و حرصنــا علــى االســتعانة بالطاقــات الشــبابية الكويتيــة، وقمنــا بتشــكيل الهيــكل االداري واملالــي والقانونــي واســتعنا بخبــرات خيــرة املوظفــن واخلريجن اجلدد". وأشــاد هاشــم بفريــق العاملــن يف الشــركة قائــاًل: "يعملــون بــكل حمــاس مــا الواحــد. الفريــق بــروح إال يتحقــق ال اإلجنــاز وهــذا وإخــالص،

أهنئكــم أن واعتــزازي فخــري دواعــي ملــن إنــه بحلول الذكرى الســنوية األولى لتأســيس الشــركة ..... املتكاملــة البتروليــة للصناعــات الكويتيــة وأود بالبدايــة أســتذكر معكــم تأســيس وانطالقــة

باألمــس. حصلــت وكأنهــا الشــركة

دائمــا مــا تصاحــب البدايــات مــن حتديــات وبعــض شــركة تأســيس بــوزن كانــت لــو خاصــة املخــاوف مســئولة عــن إدارة وتشــغيل مشــاريع اســتراتيجية ضخمــة . وكان الســؤال األول الــذي طــرح نفســه يف بدايــات التأســيس هــو: مــا الهــدف الــذي كنــا نصبــو لتحقيقــه مــن خــالل تأســيس هــذه الشــركة اجلديــدة؟ وكانــت االجابــة البديهيــة هــي: جعــل املزيــد مــن القيمــة املضافــة ممكنــا بتكامــل إدارة وتشــغيل أكبــر مجمــع بترولــي يف دولتنــا احلبيبــة .

مســاعي مــن منبثقــة كانــت ببســاطة وأهدافنــا لدولــة مشــرق مســتقبل لبنــاء مخلصــة وطنيــة الكويــت احلبيبــة مــن خــالل تنويــع مصادر الدخل، الصناعــة يف العامليــة التقنيــات أحــدث وتطبيــق النظيفــة الطاقــة إمــدادات وتأمــن النفطيــة، املســتدامة ، وخلــق فــرص وظيفيــة جديــدة لشــباب

الكويــت.
