September 201425th annual Lee County golf ClassicTeeing off for the Foundation’s 25th Annual Golf Classic, 35 teams hit the links to raise over $24,000 for needs of the college. Teams teed off at 8:30 am and 1:30 pm at the Sanford Golf Course.

november 2014Scholarship LuncheonPlanned and developed by the Central Carolina Culinary Institute, the CCCC Foundation held its annual Scholarship Luncheon at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center in Sanford. This special time honored its donors and scholarship recipients at the banquet.

december 2014Christmas tree LightingsChatham County: Holiday cheer was spread in Chatham County as Santa Claus visited the Siler City site to hear children’s Christmas wishes for the Chatham County Christmas Tree Lighting. The CCCC Carolers led the community in several festive songs, ‘Twas the Night before Christmas was read and hot cocoa and cookies were served to help ring in the holiday season.

Lee County: The Sanford community got into a festive holiday spirit on the Lee County Campus during the 2nd Annual CCCC Foundation Christmas Tree Lighting. The Southern Lee Marching band brought Santa Claus to town, ‘Twas the Night before Christmas was read and hot cocoa and cookies were served.

June 2015the 3rd annual “Sweet Celebration”The Third Annual “Sweet Celebration” was held at Café 121 as the Foundation thanked our “sweet” donors who had supported the 2014 Annual Fund Drive. Special treats and sweets were provided by the college’s Culinary Arts students.

15th annual CCCC Foundation Furniture auctionStudents in the Carpentry and Welding programs at the Harnett Correctional Institution hand crafted furniture and other home good items for the 15th Annual CCCC Foundation Furniture Auction. The Auction raised nearly $20,000 for the Harnett County Student Endowment.

the First Patrick Barnes Poker RunThe Patrick Barnes Poker Run was held as bikers rode through CCCC’s service area visiting five different college locations. Proceeds from the event went to support the Veterinary Medical Technology and Motorcycle Mechanics programs.

March 2015the 2nd annual Harnett County golf ClassicGolfers from Harnett County teed it up for the 2nd Annual Harnett County Golf Classic held at Chicora Golf Club. Seventeen teams represented the area and raised over $15,000 to help support student scholarships and other needs at CCCC.

May 2015the 2nd annual Chatham County golf ClassicMay brought about a gorgeous and sunny day featuring the 2nd Annual Chatham County Golf Classic held at Chapel Ridge. Almost $15,000 was raised through sponsorships and teams to raise funds for deserving CCCC students.

Foundation Statement of FinancialsThe community continued to show their support for Central Carolina Community College by contributing $735,759.66 during the 2014 – 2015 fiscal year.

In-kind gifts of equipment, supplies, pro bono, and other services totaling $10,390.40 were also donated to the college.

During the 2014 – 2015 fiscal year the CCCC Foundation provided $388,000 in support to the college and to the students it serves.
