Yap: active in wayne co

The Wayne County Young Adult Professionals (YAP) group (founded in 2003) is active again in the Wayne County community. The group will soon be called HYPE Richmond (Helping Young Professionals Engage). Find them on Twitter!

The goal of this group is to link resources and opportunities of Wayne County’s young professionals for the purpose of supporting the growth, advancement and success of the future leaders of our community.

The group is currently planning events to network with as many young professionals in the area as possible, with hopes of involving IU East, Ivy Tech, and Earlham.

new bike racksthanks to donations

Center City Development Corporation would like to thank everyone who donated money towards the purchase and installation of bike racks in the Central Business District. We collected $925 to grant to the Urban Enterprise Association for the implementation of this important project!

These bike racks will help in complying with the proposed 2011 Richmond Transportation Plan, which takes into consideration the improvement of pedestrian and biking routes, among other important transportation issues that are being addressed in the city.
