Celebration of the Hands Artwork Instructions Mailing Instructions All artwork should be postmarked by March 19, 2021. The artwork will be hung at the Capitol by regions across the state (North, Central, and South). April 5 - 9, 2021 Tens of thousands of pieces of hand artwork decorated by young children, teachers, and families, are hung throughout the Capitol Rotunda each year during Children’s Week Florida TM . This stunning visual display serves as a reminder to representatives, senators, advocates, and visitors that Florida's children are impacted by policy decisions made by the legislature. Please follow the artwork instructions below so your masterpieces can be included in our Celebration of the Hands. We invite you to join in and help continue this annual tradition. You can decorate hands with colorful artwork, words, stories, and/or pictures. We encourage you to be creative! Hand artwork must be strung together and secured prior to mailing. Please do not send individual hands. Staple and secure artwork vertically onto string or ribbon. You may also use the hands to create small posters that should be no larger than 11x14. String or ribbon must be in lengths of eight to ten feet.
