This annual review brochure provides a snapshot of the selfless spirit of service found in the activities of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) in the year 2010.
The year 2010 was a challenging year as a global recesssion held a firm grip on economies of the world and thousands of families in our communities struggled to make ends meet.Times are tough, but our collective faith -in God, family and community -will ultimately lead us to a brighter future.
BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha is firmlycommitted to serving humanityregardless of the situation. It continuesto invest in communities, families andindividuals by promoting physical, social, emotional and spiritualwell-being in accordance withuniversal Hindu values. Underthe leadership of His HolinessPramukh Swami Maharaj, thousands of volunteers inNorth America and around theworld are helping to fulfil the needsof society.
The seeds of BAPS North America were first sown with the founding of a single Mandir in Flushing, NY in 1974. In 2010, BAPS inaugurated its 63rd Mandir. The catalyst for growth has always been and will always be the family. Mandirs first take shape in the basements and living rooms of the faithful. The devotion, energy and commitment found here fuels the construction of Mandirs and the organization of activities aiming to serve
individuals spiritually, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
