Class Updates STEM Class: Students have been conducting weekly experiments, each based on a different practice or standard. Recently, students participated in a lesson outside where they collected leaves and flowers and made observations, and then impressions of the materials collected with crayons. Art Class: Students have been creating art with a variety of different techniques and mediums. They have been creating paper collages, learning to emboss, and will soon be creating a project inspired by Shel Silverstein’s poetry!

Chinese Class: In Chinese Class students are learning how to pronounce Chinese numbers and colors. Students are also learning how to make Origami Art and are learning more about Chinese culture.

Physical Education Class (K-1): In Mr. F’s class, students have been learning about teamwork, as well as fine-tuning skills such as dribbling, and passing. There is always a group game to practice the skills they learned that day.

Physical Education Class (2-5): In Ms. Rachel’s class Fit, Fine, & Fun, students have been trying out different types physical of fitness, such as circuit training and Parkour for Kids. Soon they will be moving on to learn about nutrition!

Free-play: Students in free-play have been relaxing with quiet games in the All-Purpose Room. Favorite activities include playing with Legos & K’Nex, using art fun art supplies, and participating in card games.

Homework Help: Student in homework help have been receiving assistance when completing and reviewing their homework, as well as using laptops for educational games and e-books.

When students were asked what they like best about CEEL so far, they

replied:

*Our Fall Showcase will take place on Tuesday, November 17th from 5:00 to 5:30. Chinese and Physical Education classes will be putting on a performance that summarizes their experience in their class this season. Pizza, snacks, and beverages will be provided. Artwork from class will be displayed, as well as a slideshow of photographs taken this fall at CEEL. We hope that you can attend!
