Rev 21:7 “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
The word “overcome”, “overcometh”, and “overcomer”, comes from the Greek word “NIKAO” and appears in the Bible 32 times.
What is overcomer? The Greek word “Nikao” means one that prevails, conquers, and gets the victory over. It is to get through difficulties. When we say we are overcomers we don't think about the fiery trials that we go through, but we rejoice, cause we are partakers of Christ suffering and we know if we suffer with Him that we shall reign with Him.
Who is an overcomer? Everyone can sing the song “we're overcomers”, but everyone is not an overcomer. Understand that there is wheat as well as weed that grows together. Who is an overcomer, the Bible says in 1 John 5:4 “Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.” In order to be an overcomer you must be born again. John 3:3 says “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
What does an overcomer overcome? An overcomer is one that is first of all born of God, they are able to surmount difficulties and prevail against them. However the question becomes what are the difficulties they overcome. There are only 3, remember 3 = fullness, when you overcome these 3 difficulties then you are fully an overcomer.

Genesis 7:7 quotes that Joseph dreamt that when they were binding sheaves in the field, his sheaf arose and stood upright and that the sheaves of the brothers stood roundabout and bowed down before his sheaf. Verse 8 says that Joseph's brothers hated him for his dream and for his words, In the prison Joseph told the chief butler to tell pharaoh about him when he was restored to his former position. Genesis 40:23 says that the chief butler forgot to tell Pharaoh about Joseph's ability to interpret dreams. Joseph did not mind being insulted. He became overcomer. Rev 2:7 tells “… To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”

1 Samuel 30:6 reads “And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”
Here we see that David overcame the stout opposition of the people. Davis's own son Absalom turned against him. When Absalom died, David wept bitterly for him. When Paul met the man who was crippled, Paul said “stand upright on thy feet” Bible says the crippled man leaped and walked. This healing incident provoked certain Jews from Antioch, who persuaded the people to stone Paul. After stoning him they thought he was dead and threw him out of the city [Acts 14:19] But Paul did not die, nor was he afraid of his tormentors, the next day we read Paul got up and went into the city and he departed to Derbe with Barnabas. Paul never stopped in his mission of preaching the gospel.
My dear young friends, Faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour not only makes us God's children, but overcomers as well. The day we trusted Christ was a day of victory for the Christian, because it was the day we overcame the world. "But thanks be unto God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ I Cor 15:57."
"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne...Revelation 3:21." This last and final promise is ruling with the Lord Jesus Christ in His throne.
Are you an overcomer? Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you are an overcomer. Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, if not you need to act fast, because there is a difference between a full life and mere existence?

AN AWAKENED ARTISTA boy named Peter was the only son of his parents. He displayed extraordinary artistic talent. He used to draw perfect pictures, make marvelous models and carve realistic images. His father was a bad-tempered drunkard and did not appreciate the boy's works of art. He used to scold him and beat him for wasting his time and paper for such 'useless' works. But his loving mother encouraged him.
One day, the boy scratched a beautiful picture on the table in the house using the tip of a sharp knife. The father returned from his work in a fully drunk state. He was furious to see the scratched figure on their only table and violently thrashed the boy mercilessly. The mother intervened, but she too got a few blows. The boy ran away from home, crying aloud, unable to bear his father's cruelty. He was so angry and sad that he did not return to his home. His parents later searched for him everywhere, but
could not locate him. They were very sad. The mother could not stop her tears and soon fell ill.
Peter boarded a train and landed in a distant city. After doing some menial jobs with meager wages, he joined an advertising agency which painted display boards and erected them around the city. His artistic talents made him a success in his new profession and gradually he earned sufficient money to meet his needs. He grew up and became a healthy young man and a good artist.
Peter often thought about his family and felt sorry for deserting his parents in their old age. He wrote several letters addressed to his mother, but could not get any reply. Finally he returned to his native village, repenting for his action and wishing to be reconciled with them. Reaching the spot where they lived, he was surprised to see a new posh house in place of his old hut. The owner of the new house

told him that he had bought the land from the Peter's father when he left the place. He added that Peter's mother died soon after her son deserted them. The neighbors had no idea about the present whereabouts of Peter's father.
Unable to bear the sad news of his mother's untimely death and his role in the tragedy, Peter returned to his work place. Later his firm opened a branch in the city near Peter's native place. Peter was offered a transfer to the new unit and he readily accepted it. Reaching the new place, he stayed in a rented house. As he had only a little money with him, he decided to buy some cheap furniture for his house. He visited a shop selling used furniture.
While examining the articles, he was surprised to see an old table with a scratched figure on it. He observed carefully and discovered that the figure was the one he scratched on his table when he was a boy. Thus he could easily identify this table. Rushing to the owner of the shop, he asked from where and whom he got the used table. The owner thought for a while and recollected his purchase of a few pieces of used furniture from an old drunkard's hut. He was very poor and sold the furniture as he had no money to buy food. He remembered the hut and gave the directions to Peter to reach the hut.
Peter ran to the hut and met his old father there, who appeared very emaciated after years of illness and poverty. Peter fell upon his father's feet and sought his pardon for deserting him. He carried the sick father to the hospital and gave the necessary medical care. He carried his father to his house and by his loving tender care the old man became healthy and happy. They lived there peacefully.
Addiction to alcohol (alcoholism) has ruined the life of millions. We must abstain from this harmful habit and pray for God's grace to transform the alcoholics in our society.
Let us remember that 'ANGER' is only one letter short of 'DANGER'. There are always going to be times in your Christian life when you become angry or sad. However, as a Christian, you can't let these angry emotions change your life. If you're looking for help with anger

issues or dealing with someone else with anger problems, you can turn to God who can make you a more peaceful person. He will help you forgive whoever or whatever you are angry at. God Bless you!

Two friends were walking through the desert. In a specific point of the journey, they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but...without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who got slapped and hurt started drowning, and the other friend saved him. When he recovered from the fright, he wrote on a stone:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.
T he friend who saved and slapped his best friend, asked him "Why, after I hurt you, did you write in the sand, and now you write on a stone?"
The other friend, smiling, replied, "When a friend hurts us, we should write it down in the sand, where the winds of forgiveness get in charge of erasing it away, and when something great happens, we should engrave it in the stone of the memory of the heart, where no wind can erase it."

"For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:14-15
