avid focusWe continue to build AVID schoolwide, kindergarten through 5th grade. Most of our classeshave "Reading Buddies" with another classroom, which we have moved into "AVID Buddies."This is a chance for older students to help younger students with folder/binder organization,assist with notetaking, and even asking higher level questions.

This week, we welcomed AVID students from Oswego High School. They volunteered time towork with our 5th graders on their organization. Many gave 'insider tips' on how to besuccessful in high school and shared what to expect. Our students were eager to askquestions of the high school students. We are excited that we will continue with these visitsevery other week.
