Towards the The Assignment
• Produce an “Immersive Environment” (game?)
• Show you can excel in at least ONE area of game development
• Creating a complex level with many rooms, and Movers.
• Creating a simple level with 2 or 3 rooms, with interesting textures and lighting; containing interesting objects (static meshes) – artistic
• Creating a level with interesting AI. Bots which navigate.
• Concente on the inclusion of music and sound.
• Develop characters (3DMax, gmax, Maya, Blender)
• Show you appreciate how to create a world which is captivating to the “player”, which gives a feeling of prescience (or “immersion”).
• Demonstrate technical competence in any, or all of the above areas
