(Closed on Wednesdays)

Thank You Jon Ravi, area secretary to Aid to the Church in Need, wrote a very grateful email, thanking you all, and relaying that last weekend’s ap-peal has raised £1,205.49 so far. If any of you still have ACN envelopes to hand in, please do so, to the office, and we can send them on for you. Thank you for your generosity.

REMINDER New offertory envelopes are valid this week-

end. Parishioners who use them, if you haven't already, please collect your new green envelopes from the back of the church. They are in alpha-betical order and allocated by Gift Aid or Planned Giving. Thank you. If you wish to start using offertory envelopes or prefer to make your offerto-ry by bank standing order, please complete a request form available on the table at the back of church and hand it to the priest after Mass. A box of envelopes for those who request them will be ready to collect next weekend.

Stations of the Cross Friday 5.15pm—5.45pm

Day of Prayer for Survivors of Abuse, Friday 12 April 2019 The Cardinal writes, back in February 2016, Pope Francis asked each Bishops’ Confer-ence to establish a Day of Prayer for Survivors of Abuse. In response, the Bishops of England and Wales designated the Friday of the Fifth Week of Lent to be observed as this Day of Prayer. This year, therefore, the Day of

Prayer is Friday 12 April. The prayers provided on the website of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors may be helpful to you: http://www.protectionofminors.va/content/tuteladeiminori/en/resources_section/day-of-prayer_page.html I ask that this Day of Prayer is observed in all our parishes .

Cardinal’s Mass of Thanksgiving for the Sacrament of Matrimony

Westminster Cathedral, Sat-urday 8 June 2019 at 3pm. The Cardinal will be invit-ing to this Mass all couples in the Diocese who are cele-brating their 5th 10th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th (and every year over 60) wedding anniversary of Catholic marriage in 2019. If you are celebrating an anni-versary, please give your parish clergy.

Volunteers for the Linen Rota We are in need of some more volunteers to come forward and offer to clean the sacristy linen. Please contact the Office if you can be of help. Thank You.

By your help, we be-seech you, Lord our God, may we walk eagerly in that same charity with which, out of love for the world, your Son

handed himself over to death. Through Our Lord

Jesus Christ you Son, who lives and reigns

with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,

for ever and ever. Amen

The Pope’s Prayer Intentions for April

For doctors and their humanitarian collaborators in war zones, who risk their

lives to save the lives of others.

Spouse’s Corner Remembering our romantic history

is really a way of reconnecting with

our relationship at its best. It’s a

way to make present, in the present

moment, our relationship at its

most loving and united. This pro-

cess of remembering tenderises us

towards each other and instils hope

and positivity into our marriage.

Even if we are presently experienc-

ing a hard time, remembering, or

reconnecting, with our love history,

has an immediate impact in lifting

our spirits and reminding us of all

that we are capable of being to-

gether. For Catholics, this sort of

active remembering is second na-

ture to us as it is central to our Sun-

day Mass experience. Christ com-

manded us to celebrate Mass “in

memory of him”. And when we do,

he literally, sacramentally, becomes

physically present through

the Eucharist.

Anyone interested in Sacramental Preparation please contact Margaret Wickware at: [email protected] .

Wintershall Players On Good Friday 20,000 people gather to watch the

Easter story in central London; one hundred Wintershall players bring

their moving portrayal of the final days of Jesus to this iconic location in

the capital. The 90-minute produc-

tion is completely free of charge - a

gift to Londoners and visitors. No

tickets are required. There is a per-

formance at 12 noon and 3:15 pm.

The production is open air with vis-

ibility maximised using large screens. There is a realistic interpretation of

the crucifixion so parental guidance is advised. British sign language inter-

pretation is provided.

Good Friday Procession As in recent years there will be a Diocesan, Good

Friday Procession on 19th April; it is a walk of Witness for Our Lord’s Cru-

cifixion, and is an interfaith event. If you wish to attend this event, it as-

sembles at 11.45am outside the Methodist Central Hall in Westminster and

processes to Westminster Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.
