Months later, one of the few survivors of the shipwreck, the ship’s surgeon Savigny, tries to prove the truth of what happened and bring his men home even as those responsible for the catastrophe rush to cover up their own misdeeds and vilify the victims… But there are political machinations at play much larger than Savigny could have ever imagined, as those in power exploit the ordeal to their own ends…
