Pipe LeaksSylmasta Wrap & Seal will stop leaks even when pressure cannot be turned off. Simply wrap the tape tightly around the pipe, using the centre line as a guide, until the leaks stops. The tape will bond to its self to form a solid rubber band which maintains pressure over the leak. Finish by applying SylWrap over the Wrap & Seal to protect it and make a permanent repair.

An alloy-reinforced epoxy paste for repairs on stress-bearing equipment and repairs exposed to high temperatures up to 200°C (or 250°C with 50% properties). Titanium Supergrade HT is ideal for the maintenance and repair of pumps, valves, metal castings, damaged keyways, low pressure pipes and tanks, and automotive bodywork. Because of its high compressive strength, Titanium Supergrade HT is ideal for repairing worn shafts.

A solvent-free, metal-filled epoxy liquid, suitable for brushing, spreading, pouring and moulding in casts. When brush-applied, Liquid Metal sets to a smooth, metallic, hard-wearing protective coating. Large pump at a water treatment plant, used to extract water from a well to serve the whole water plant, refurbished with Ceramic Brushable. This pump suffers deterioration caused by minerals and sediments, but the Ceramic Brushable helps to protect and prevent damage from corrosion and erosion.

Pump Lid at Treatment PlantPump lid of a mud pool at the treatment plant of a Power Authority. Made from Alloy 20 (nickel-chromium-molybdenum stainless steel alloy) for chemical resistance, this was damaged when a impeller came out of place and fell onto the lid, causing extensive damage and very deep gouges.The lid had a diameter of 20” and cost approximately $4000. Sylmasta Ceramic Brushable Green was applied, mostly in the centre where there was most damage, less at the edges. Once the Ceramic Brushable had hardened, it was turned on a lathe to finish it. The two color tones are where the lid is angled towards the edge. This repair resulted in significant time and cost savings.

Coating of Extruder BarrelOur customer increased extrusion rate and reduced clean-down time using Sylmasta Ceramic Brushable Blue on their putty extruders.The rough cast finish of the extruders’ aluminium barrels slowed the flow rate when extruding silica-filled putty and the silica caused abrasive wear to the barrel. Machining the barrels on all of the extruders would have been difficult, time consuming and costly, so coating them with Sylmasta Ceramic Brushable was the obvious solution. The coating was easy to apply using a conventional paintbrush and was allowed to fully cure.

Rapid 5 Minute Sylmasta Rapid 5 Minute clear epoxy is a fast curing adhesives with a

fixture time of 5 to 10 minutes. It has excellent adhesion to metal, ceramic

tiles, brick, concrete, wood and most hard plastics. The cure speed means

that there is minimal holding or clamping time but still enough time to put

the assembly together without rushing.

Sylmasta Flash 1 Minute clear epoxy is a very fast curing adhesive with a fixture time of just 60 seconds. It

has excellent adhesion to metal, ceramic tiles, brick, concrete, wood and most hard plastics. The extremely

fast cure speed reduces the length of time required to hold or clamp an assembly, making it suitable for

fast turnarounds. Flash is also available in a 3ml One-Shot mixing syringe, which allows a small dose to be

applied without hand mixing for one-off repairs. Flash also comes in a regular 25ml syringe.

After mixing, Flash begins to set in 1 minute at 20°C. It is ready for light duty

handling in 20 minutes, with functional strength in 30 – 60 minutes and

ultimate strength in 12 hours.

Epoxy Adhesives provide excellent adhesion to metals and rigid substrates such as thermoset plastics, composites, wood and ceramics. They provide stiff, durable, high strength, temperature resistant bonds which are resistant to shock and chemical attack and have very low shrinkage. The 25ml syringe packs pre-measure the adhesive for consistency and easy mixing. The 50ml and 200ml cartridges come with a mixer nozzle to dispense straight from the pack.

After mixing, Control begins to set in 1

SUPER GLUE

This is a very low viscosity adhesive, like water, that

penetrates porous surfaces and wicks into closely fitted

parts. Pre-assembled parts can be locked into place with

just one drop that penetrates the joint.

This is a general purpose grade adhesive specifically

formulated to rapidly bond difficult substrates. Ideally

suited for the bonding of plastics, rubber, metal,

porcelain, ceramics & wood. A strong bond is achieved

in seconds to most substrates.

Use High Viscosity where gap filling is important, or

where the material to be bonded is absorbent such as
