1. Slide the two broken ends of the tent pole into opposite ends of the pole splint. (Fig 1)

WHICH WATER REPELLENT IS BEST FOR YOU?

ReviveX® Spray-On Water Repellent is a “universal” application for hard shell outerwear. It only treats the outside of the garment, leaving interior (possibly wicking) liners untreated. The ReviveX spray-on version is ideal for treating down and synthetic insulated garments and sleeping bags.

ORIGINAL SPRAY-ON FORMULA

Soft shells are more breathable and coarsely woven than traditional hard shell garments. ReviveX Spray-On Water Repellent for Soft Shells is specifi cally engineered to deeply penetrate a soft shell fabric’s thick weave for maximum water repellency.

WASH-IN FORMULAUse ReviveX Wash-In Water Repellent to treat hardshells and hard-to-treat items such as fl eece jackets and hats in one load. Ideal for 2.5 and 3 layer hardshells (rainwear without a wicking liner).

Probably not. But the outer fabric may be “wetting out,” causing excess condensation inside which can make you damp and cold. Don’t compromise your jacket’s performance by washing it in household detergents designed for your jeans. Is your rain jacket really leaking?

OUTERWEAR WATER REPELLENTS AND CLEANERS

All rainwear is factory treated on the outside with a special water repellent spray called DWR (for “Durable Water Repellent”). Over time that treatment wears off causing outer fabrics to “wet out.” Though rain isn’t leaking all the way through the garment, “wet out” reduces breathability and creates excess interior condensation making you damp and cold. ReviveX® water repellents are unique because they bond to both the fabric and any remaining factory DWR creating the most durable water repellent fi nish available.

TENT CARE AND REPAIR

Seam Grip® permanently repairs common pinholes and tears in the tent floor. Apply just enough Seam Grip to cover the hole and spread 1/4” (5mm) beyond. Allow to dry level overnight. For 2 hour cure time, mix Seam Grip with Cotol-240™ before applying.

TEAR AND HOLE REPAIRS

Sil-Fix™ Adhesive is ideal for repairing pinhole leaks in silicone-treated nylon tents, backpacks and outerwear. Apply a small dab to the hole and 1/4” (5mm) beyond. Dry level for 2 hours before using or storing.

Wash paddling dry tops and dry suits in McNett® Wet Suit and Dry Suit Shampoo. To eliminate the toughest odors, dip suits in MiraZyme™ treated water and air dry (see instructions on the bottom of page 20). MiraZyme is a powerful blend of odor fighting microbes & enzymes.
