Castleton YHA TripThursday 9th – Friday

On the day…

Children arrive at school at the normal time (8.50am) in their own clothes.

Children can bring one small bag/suitcase- please don’t send them with more than they can carry!

Children who are on packed lunches need to bring their own disposable packed lunch with them to school on Thursday.

Children who have school dinners will be supplied with a packed lunch from school.

What should we pack?

Items needed:

PyjamasUnderwear and socks2 changes of clothes (nothing posh!)A Jumper / warm clothing optionA waterproof jacketTrainers or sensible shoes (Walking boots may be useful)Toothbrush & toothpasteShower gelTowelAny medication neededA teddy/small comforter/small snack

How will we travel?

We will be getting the coach from school to Castleton at around 9am.

We will be returning in time for home time on Friday.

We will be posting regular updates on the class blogs, so you can keep up with all of our adventures!

Please be patient with these- signal at Castleton is VERY poor – well ill blog as often as we can.

What will we do there?

We have lots of activities during our time at Castleton, including:

A Roman battle

Archery

A runes puzzle

Building a siege engine

Armour timeline

What will we eat? Halal meals are available.

We get a 3 course meal for tea!

Food choices for dinner include:

-Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

-Jacket potato and a choice of fillings

-Margherita pizza

Dessert:

- Iced Orange Sponge Cake

- Fruit Yoghurt

- Fresh Fruit Salad

A range of cooked and cold breakfast products on Friday.

A lunch will also be provided on Friday.
