PAKSMART® Machinery creates products that improve and simplify packaging processes and productivity.

PAKSMART Machinery is a family company, Australian owned and operated since 1993. Our manufacturing facility is in Sydney and we have sales support offices in both Sydney and Melbourne.

The PAKSMART® PC range takes an end load/skillet carton, opens it, loads the product, and closes the carton with either glue or tuck.

Our PC range of horizontal end load Carton Machines all use a simple one-action-at-a-time process to boost performance and reduce machine complexity.

The current models in our Carton Machine range all benefit from new hardware and software developed by PAKSMART®. They have more features than ever before. Of course all the standard features have been retained ensuring a low maintenance, long running machine with the aid of smooth starts and stops you would expect from Servo Drives.

The multi-axis Servo Drives are used as positioning systems which stop precisely for each machine cycle – time after time. Servo Drives reduce mechanical linkages resulting in less wear and maintenance requirements. The Servo Drives also control all machine functions for improved reliability and performance.

At PAKSMART® we take pride in our high quality manufacturing standards. Similar materials and features are shared across the PC range using stainless steel, aluminium and engineering grade plastic components. All running surfaces are stainless steel, hard PTFE anodised aluminium or food grade plastics.

Trusted brand components are used throughout to ensure fast reliable low cost spares worldwide.

We also have a strong focus on user friendliness. Size changes are through simple or fully automatic adjustments. Debris fall-through designs make cleaning much easier and well suited to the food industry. Large access panels further enhance the ease in maintenance of the PC range. All machines are on castors with levelling jacks for easy positioning.

PAKSMART® PC40

PAKSMART® PC120

The PAKSMART® PC120 is suited for medium production rates. It is a continuous motion horizontal end load Carton Machine (cartoner) capable of speeds of up to 120 cartons per minute. The PC120 is available in both automatic load (barrel-cam) and hand load models. The hand load (HL) version features a loading station that comfortably accommodates up to 2 operators for maximum speeds. The automatic PC120 version is suitable for higher levels of automation.

Fast and accurate size change was a high priority in the design of the PC120. It features digital readouts on all hand-crank adjustments and the carton flights are automatically servo adjusted on the operator’s HMI (Human Machine Interface) panel. This requires just a few simple keystrokes and the Servo Drive does the rest.

The HMI panel also assists the operator with reports on machine status, size settings, fault finding, troubleshooting and machine testing functions.

The PC120 uses modular construction to allow for easy automation upgrades such as automatic loading of product, servo sweep product collators and product transfers. This means it can expand with your production requirements.

The PAKSMART® PC40 suits low to moderate production rates. It is an intermittent motion, horizontal, end load Carton Machine (cartoner) capable of speeds at up to 40 cartons per minute. The PC40 is available in both automatic load and hand load models.

The PC40 is very user-friendly, this is particularly important in the PC40HL (hand load) variant. Where once hand load cartoners required a high level of operator assistance, PAKSMART® have reduced the operators function to one action only, loading of product. The PC40HL does the rest automatically.

The automatic PC40AL version is suitable for higher levels of automation. It removes the need for an operator who can instead take a monitoring role for several machines.

The horizontal pneumatic load ram has an actuated pusher to lift clear of product during the rams return. This achieves maximum cycle speed with the gentlest load speed.

The infeed is intermittent motion and easily lends itself to a range of our economical PAKSMART® product collation and transfer systems.

PC60 FEATURES - ✔✔ 60 cartons per minute - suits

moderate production requirements.

✔✔ Labour requirement for PC60AL = ½ operator.

✔✔ Fast and accurate size change with digital readouts on hand crank adjustments.

✔✔ Product loading is via a servo driven, overhead sweep style transfer. Therefore the load action is very gentle – making it suitable for even the most delicate products.

✔✔ Rotary pick and place carton erector for high speed efficiency and generous size range.

✔✔ Integrated Piab® vacuum generator at erecting cups - reduces energy consumption and noise.

✔✔ Cycle stop function positions all glued cartons in compression preventing reject cartons due to normal machine stops.

✔✔ HMI - Electronic interface panel displays machine status for stoppage indication, speed adjustment, glue shut off timing as well as carton erector offset.

PAKSMART® PC60

The PAKSMART® PC60 is suited to moderate production rates. It is a unique machine that combines the simplicity of an intermittent motion automatic load infeed system, with a high efficiency continuous motion product loader to achieve production rates of up to 60 cartons per minute.

The horizontal end loader design uses two load rams to sweep products from the infeed bucket to the carton. This sweeping action is very gentle on the product as each load ram has nearly the whole cycle time to complete the load, making it very suitable for even the most delicate product.

The infeed is intermittent motion and easily lends itself to a range of our economical PAKSMART® product collation and transfer systems.

For greater efficiency and size range the PC60 comes with a rotary pick and place erector to progressively open the carton over the machine cycle.

PAKSMART® PF400 HIGH SPEED CARD/LEAFLET INSERTER

The PAKSMART® PF400 is a high speed friction feeder. It is used for the feeding of flat paper, fibreboard and plastic products and some sachet style packets. The PF400 is designed for high-speed production lines. They meet the continuous operation demands for consistent output with minimum delays.PF400s are usually used in conjunction with other machinery such as conveyors, glue systems, labelers, inkjet printers and other PF400s. They can be used for many different purposes such as tipping, inserting, offline coding and collating etc.For example, a magazine is fed from one PF400 onto a conveyor belt. The magazine continues and glue is applied to the front page. A second PF400 feeds a CD onto the spot of glue and the products then move onto a slower conveyor that allows them to shingle and an operator can pack them away.The PF400 can be operated as a self-contained unit requiring no interfacing or linked to your packaging system for synchronised operation. Our in-house design team offer customised discharge systems and program options to meet your special requirements.

The PAKSMART® PF300 is a rotary pick and place feeder with speeds of up to 300 units per minute. The PF300 is well suited to products such as soup sachets, flavour sachets, desiccants, oxygen scavengers and other bulky flat products. The PF300 compliments the PF400 by handling products with uneven shapes, edges and sticky or keyed together products that the PF400 would not be suited to.
