AGEING PROCESS
Our grapes are carefully selected from low yield vines of our best vineyard blocks, planted on stressful stony soils at Hacienda Caperana, by the Maipo River. Special rows are chosen to produce this amazing wine. The Pacific Ocean breeze blowing up along the river lends this special terroir an ample day-night temperature differential that gives rise to rich colour and soft, ripe tannins to produce this Unusual blend.
Low yield vines (1.0 kg/plant) Drip irrigation, controlled deficit regimeCareful viticultural management, searching for the proper tannin ripeness and avoiding any green flavoursCarménère: Block 74B, selected rows Shiraz: Block 67, selected rows
High temperatures during ripening time brought the harvest about one week earlier than usual and produced grapes with a great balance, ripe tannins and excellent health conditions.
Unfiltered. Non cold stabilized.
