Special rows are chosen to produce this amazing Zinfandel. The Pacific Ocean breeze that blows up along the river lends this special terroir an ample day-night temperature differential, giving rise to rich colour and well-ripened tannins to produce this most Unusual Chilean wine. Block 6, Caperana Vineyards, selected rows Low yield vines (1.0 kg/plant) Drip irrigation, controlled deficit regime Careful viticultural management, searching for the proper tannin ripeness and avoiding green flavours. High temperatures during the ripening period brought the harvest about one week earlier than usual, producing grapes with a great balance, ripe tannins and excellent healthy conditions. Unfiltered. Non cold stabilized. ALC % R.S. TOTAL ACIDITY PH 14,3 % 3,75 g/l 3,48 5,72 g/l (C 4 H 6 O 6 ) Deep ruby red colour, with violet tinges. Elegant and complex nose. Notes of figs, plums and some berries, well assembled with coffee, dark chocolate and some spices. Full bodied, with soft and velvety tannins. Delicious fruity notes on the palate. Long and persistent, with a slightly sweet finish. Producer: TerraMater S.A. Description: Full bodied elegant wine, fruit driven style, care- fully barrel aged. Blend Composition: 100% Zinfandel. Blend Origin: Isla de Maipo. 5 -7 day cold maceration Temperature controlled during fermentation (28°C) Selected yeasts 4 pumpovers per day 21 days of maceration on the skins Full malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels 16 months of aging in French oak barrels.
