In 2012, Precious Jason was diagnosed

with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia and

went on to have intensive treatment

which left her skin feeling compromised.

The need for safe and natural remedies

inspired her to create her own natural

skincare range (www.etieno.co.uk).

Etieno skincare lovingly creates luxuri-

ous, therapeutic and skin loving prod-

ucts for people with battle scarred skin.

Skincare aside, Precious is an award

winning entrepreneur who is passionate

about educating, encouraging and em-

powering her unique tribe of survivors.

It sounds so simple because it is simple.

Your body needs to rid itself from the

toxins of treatment and keep your cells

hydrated. The European Food Safety

Authority recommends that women

should drink about 1.6 litres of fluid and

men should drink about 2.0 litres of fluid

per day. That’s about eight glasses of

200ml each for a woman, and 10 glass-

es of 200ml each for a man. If you don’t

like the taste of plain water, try sparkling

water or add a slice of lemon or lime.

Avoid staying in the sun, wear a

hat. Most anti-cancer medica-

tions and radiation therapy

increase your sensitivity to the

sun.

Use sun cream. The sun protec-

tion factor (SPF) shows how

much protection the sunscreen

gives against UVB radiation – as

long as you put enough on. I use

an SPF 30 and apply generously

to protect my skin

TIP

Factor 15 will filter out 93% of the sun’s harmful rays while an SPF

factor 30 will filter out 96%.
