BSR&PU provides various Research ,Analytics and Administrative services to all Clifford Chance offices across the globe. Started over 2 years ago with the Analytics team to support various Database and HR related activities ,along with the Client Acceptance Research team to support the Clearance Centre in London. Below is a brief description of the services offered by each team:

Business Support ,Research & Publications Unit (BSR&PU)

BUSINESS RESEARCHThe Business Research team provides bespoke ,insightful and tailored ad-hoc reports that cover the latest strategic initiatives across multi ple sectors and market places. The reports are produced by a team of experienced analysts who have worked across multi ple verticals ,horizontals and geographies. The activities of this group can be categorised as

follows: Economic & Financial Analysis ,Competitor Analysis ,Company Profiling , Investments Research ,Thought Leadership Mining and Industry Intelligence.

CLIENT ACCEPTANCE RESEARCHPart of the Clifford Chance's Clearance Centre ,the team is responsible for assessing all

new clients. The basic objective of the team is to identify whether a new client of the firm satisfies the firm's client acceptance procedures.

INFORMATION SOURCINGThe Information Sourcing team provides information enquiries ,which includes - Recording & Managing book orders ,Document Delivery ,Ordering passwords and other password-related duties. Processes invoices for London which includes Prenax invoices and invoices from Library Brokers.

ADMINISTRATIONThe team delivers a wide range of administrative services that are required by teams across the Firm. These support services are often related to preparatory work to provide teams with the information they need to complete their work. Many of the tasks involve inputting data into

the Firm's systems ,collating information from a variety of sources within a team and pulling together lists that show the status of activities.

ANALYTICSThis team is responsible for various analytical functions/ processes. These consist of preparing various reports. Activities include: KC Reporting: MIS Reports. These reports are mailed to different Clifford Chance teams/offices.

RESEARCH & PUBLICATIONThe regular updates compiled by the team enables the firm to identify opportunities at the earliest possible stage. Through our extensive experience ,we provide succinct and pertinent updates that are proven to deliver tangible business outcomes. The Research & Publication operational team supports the Clifford Chance offices for the following cyclic updates: Energy Alerter ,Finance Alerter ,Healthcare and Life Sciences Alerter ,Hong Kong Weekly BD Alerts etc.

Mission

To provide innovative ,responsive ,cost effective and integrated services to all offices of Clifford Chance

F&A- Manage Payments ,ACMR and ICT

Manage Payments consists of five teams which handles the processing & payment of all supplier Invoices and I-Expenses for the 23 CC offices.

SUPPLIER SETUP / HELP DESK

This team handles the Vendor/Employee setup in the system. The team also handlesinbound/outbound calls pertaining to local offices and also provides assistance through mail.

PROCESSING This team is involved in the booking of Invoices Payable by CC/OSC to the relevant accounts.

PAYMENTSThis team is responsible for making payment to all Supplier Invoices &i-Expenses (Employee expense reimbursement) pertaining to Clifford Chance and OSC.

AUDITING

This teams handles the auditing of all Supplier Invoices ,I-Expenses & Vendor Set ups. This team is also responsible for maintaining and providing process reports and sharing feedback.

MONTH END CLOSING

This team ensures the reconciliation of Liability Account before performingthe month end closure and opening the new period in the books.

OSC Accounts Close and Management Reporting (ACMR) team supports the following Processes:

?Income Analysis (calculating ,reconciling ,posting and reporting on work in progress ,debt ,utilization and the associated provisions)

?General Ledger (GL) Account Analysis (calculating and posting accruals and prepayments ,analysis of direct and indirect costs ,entity consolidation ,cost allocation and account reconciliations) , Preparation of variance analysis.

?Closing of books of accounts in Oracle;

?Bank reconciliation statements;

?Inter-company reconciliations and settlement of Inter-company accounts;

?Allocation of various support costs to various groups/cost centers;

?Preparation and review of Trial Balances ,Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Accounts;

?Monthly preparation of actual and rolling cash flow;

?Preparation ,validation and distribution of regular management reports;

?Ad-hoc Reporting;

?E-Billing and GPMS.
