In early May 2015 in Texas, a fantastic revelation was made that would be the envy of many pre-World War II car collectors: five perfectly preserved pre-war cars. The five cars, which included a 1938 Cadillac Series 90 V-16 Fleetwood Limo, a 1932 Cadillac 370B V-12 Victoria Convertible, a 1933 Cadillac Model 370C V-12 Town Coupe, a 1908 REO Model G Boattail Roadster/Sedan Tonneau, and a 1923 Milburn Electric Model 27L, had been sitting in a barn in Austin for 40 years and were put up for auction in June at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Two additional automobiles were also stored in the garage, but they were not made available for purchase.

The owner, who was originally from Wisconsin, had purchased the cars in the 1970s and had planned on fixing them up. He never found the time or money to finish his project and instead stored them in the barn he had purchased in Texas. Feeling that the cars deserved to be on the road again, the owner decided to unveil part of his collection to the public. Aside from growing older and gathering a bit of dust, the cars had been virtually untouched during the 40 years they rested in the barn.
