1. Faulty Connections

Sometimes the screws or bolts which connect

the ports to the cables can become loose and the

whole connection fails and ultimately the battery

will be completely dead because no power will be

going from the battery to the starter.

2. Corrosion

Sometimes that screws or bolts which connect

the ports to the cables can develop a corroded

Connection which will made the whole connection weaker

and therefore it becomes harder for power to transfer from

battery to the starter.

3. Disuse

Letting a car sit idle for a while without using it for

at least 2 weeks or more will cause loss of power that it can

no longer start your engine .

4. Alternator Problems

If the alternator of the car is going bad , then it

will be no longer be able to charge the battery as

a result after driving for some distance the car

will die and then the battery won’t restart the car.

Follow these steps :

Hook up one end of the positive cable

[ RED] to the positive [+] terminal on

the [rescue] car's battery, and the

other end to the positive [+] terminal to

the positive terminal to the dead

battery. Bear in mind the positive

terminal is RED.

Hook up the negative cable [-] BLACK

to the negative [-] terminal on the

rescue car's battery, and the other end

to a non-moving, grounded part of to

the unresponsive car's motor

compartment.

vehicles and the transmission is in

park [automatic] and neutral

[standard transmission]. Start the

rescue automobile and permit it to idle

for a couple of minutes.

jumper cables from both cars in the
