Company Overview

Mike Jones Earthmoving Pty. Ltd. (MJE) is an experienced earthworks contractor providing value and service to the Oil, Gas, Mining, Agricultural and Civil Construction industries.

Since our establishment in 1985 we have built an excellent reputation with all our clients. The company began working in the agricultural industry, building dams, scrub clearing, stick raking and blade ploughing. In 1995, MJE then evolved into the pipeline and gas industries and now has over nine years experience working directly with gas companies, including QGC, constructing access roads and drill pads for the extraction of coal seam gas.

Through the integration of the company’s core principles of Safety, Innovation and Productivity, we have continued to deliver a safe, cost effective high level standard of efficient and personalised services tailored to meet client requirements.

Based in Wandoan, in the Surat Basin region of Queensland with an extensive fleet of equipment, MJE is ideally located to service the surrounding areas and South West Queensland in both the public and private sectors.

Our Fleet includes a full time servicemen with a fully equipped service truck. Our maintenance team is always on stand-by ready to ensure our staff and machines are back on site with minimum downtime, with a proven commitment to cost saving.

A Robinson R44 helicopter enables us to react quickly to customer needs, and provides us with the ability to rapidly transport key personnel and parts to projects. The company has its own helicopter pilot and 2 fixed wing trainee pilots.

MJE have multiple team members who are trained in machinery/vehicle washdown and inspection certification.

MJE ultilise 3 crews operating on a 2 week on/1 week off roster 365 days of the year, but have the machine capacity to increase to an additional crew if the work scope required.

MJE invests a lot of time in multi skilling personnel, creating a dynamic team and taking pride in staff retention.

Supervisory and Office staff are long time employees. Field staff and operators also have long standing involvement within our company. MJE is a proud equal opportunity employer with several women employed in field, safety and administration roles. MJE’s team brings a minimum 40+ years experience in the civil construction industry. Management, supervisory and safety roles, and office staff hold qualifications across business, commerce and HSE areas.
