ABOUT USKerr Engineering is a proudly Western Australian owned company that was

initially established in the mid 1960’s. For more than 45 years, Kerr Engineering

has provided an extensive range of technical services and we pride ourselves

on providing the highest levels of service and quality to our clients.

From our early start as a specialised manufacturer we’ve since grown our capabilities to become a full-service engineering company with in-house design, machining, welding and fabrication services, and full project management through to commissioning.

OUR APPROACHWe work closely with our clients from the initial concept through to completion for both one-off items and batch manufacturing to ensure our final product meets their requirements, operates efficiently and delivers value.

After completing a design assessment, our experienced team will work with you to develop a manufacturing plan and an ITP to ensure we match the most demanding schedules while maintaining the highest quality standards, and all of the supporting documentation and test results are in place.

WORKPLACE SAFETYMaintaining the highest standards of Workplace Safety is a principal objective with the stated aim of achieving zero injuries and zero harm. Our safety culture starts at the shop floor and extends through all levels of the company, with workplace safety initiatives being a principal focus of our operating systems.

This is supported with a focus on risk identification and hazard control prior to start of work, the development of specific procedures to ensure that all equipment is used safely, the appropriate materials handling methods are employed, and everyone is fully briefed prior to the start of work.

ENGINEERING & DESIGN SERVICESWe have gained extensive experience developing engineered solutions for a

diverse range of clients. As a manufacturer ourselves, we have the experience

and understanding of the competing demands affecting the decision process.

Our in-house engineers supported by advanced CAD design systems and CFD/3D analysis software have the capability to develop a solution from initial concept through to a completed product.

As our engineering team works alongside our workshop, production efficiency is an integral

part of our proposals which ensures costs are controlled and completion times are minimised.

Our design procedures apply to all of our projects regardless of whether you are looking for a specific one-off solution, batch production of components, or complete manufacture and assembly.

We have an extensive portfolio of completed projects for mining

services, general industrial use and offshore applications.

FABRICATION & WELDING SERVICESAt Kerr Engineering we have extensive experience fabricating a range

of solutions large and small for our clients, and the skills available to

ensure we can deliver your project quickly and efficiently.

Our principal fabrication facility encompasses an 1,800 Sqm workshop with an accompanying 2,400 Sqm hardstand. This workshop enables us to complete several large projects simultaneously and operates 24 hours a day when required.

We have the capability and flexibility to fabricate and assemble anything from small one-off items through to major structures and batch manufacturing. This also extends to reconditioning and refitting equipment where we have an extensive portfolio of completed projects for mining services, general industrial use and offshore applications.

We also have comprehensive quality control procedures covering our welding and fabrication. Apart from our ISO 9001 : 2008 – Quality Management System accreditation we are also ISO 3834.2 : 2008 Welding Quality Assurance System accredited.

All of our welding is also completed to AS/NZS 1554.1–6 or ASME IX Welding Codes specification, so you can be confident that the highest levels of workmanship will be maintained.

We can also provide a range of supporting services including Weld Testing & Inspection, provision of Coded Welders, Welding Procedures, Welding Qualifications and Comprehensive Reports with full traceability.

MACHINING SERVICESKerr Engineering provides machining services in the form of

both manual and CNC Turning, Milling, and Machining.

Supported by comprehensive CAD programmes and highly trained operators, we have the capability to quickly and efficiently produce a range of machined products in our workshop from single components through to complete assemblies.

CNC CUTTING SERVICESCapable of cutting plates up to 60mm on Plasma

and 140mm on Oxy-Flame, our state of the art

hi-definition Plasma Cutter offers a fast, accurate

and reliable service with quick turn-around times.

Our integrated nesting and ERP software achieves higher accuracy profiles and retains the square edges required on cut plate, along with increasing efficiency and reducing waste.
