ANU College of Asia & the Pacific The new CAP Digital Grants program provides support to students with demonstrated photographic and videographic creativity in exchange for visually engaging content from their overseas experiences. The College will share this content through its online and published media channels to encourage more students to take part in our in-country programs. There are two types of CAP Digital Grants available: The CAP Digital Grant (Photography) is for amateur photographers who are able to capture unique experiences and special moments through a lens. There are two types of CAP Digital Grants available:

The CAP Digital Grant (Photography) is for amateur photographers who are able to capture unique experiences and special moments through a lens.

How much are CAP Digital Grants worth?The value of the CAP Digital Grants varies according to the length of the mobility program undertaken.

> Short courses grant: $500

> Semester in Asia grant: $1000

> Year in Asia grant: $2000

The grant payments will be made after the submission of visual content and accompanying captions or descriptions. In addition to the grant, students may be loaned camera equipment to use to capture imagery.

Requirements for the CAP Digital Grant (Photography)Depending on the length of their mobility program, successful applicants will be required to submit a minimum of ten high resolution images each with a caption/description at regular intervals throughout the duration of the program.

> Short course: Minimum of five images halfway through the program, plus five images upon completion of the program

> Semester in Asia: Minimum of five images every month of the program

> Year in Asia: Minimum of five every month of the program

Requirements for the CAP Digital Grant (Videography)Depending on the length of their mobility program, successful applicants will be required to submit videos they have produced and edited, along with a caption/description, at regular intervals throughout the duration of the program.

> Short course: one video, roughly two-three minutes in length, produced and edited entirely by the student, including background and spoken audio, upon completion of the program

> Semester in Asia: two videos, each roughly two-three minutes in length, produced and edited entirely by the student, including background and spoken audio, to be submitted during and upon completion of the program

> Year in Asia: four videos, each roughly two-three minutes in length, produced and edited entirely by the student, including background and spoken audio, to be submitted during and upon completion of the program

How will my photo/video content be used?CAP will share visually engaging content through its online and published media channels to encourage more students to take part in our in-country programs. Our online channels include the College website and social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Published channels include our guides, flyers, fact sheets and brochures.

All CAP Digital Grant recipients must agree to the terms of the ANU release form. The College holds the copyright for any content

submitted as part of the CAP Digital Grants program. The College may credit students for their content where possible.

Am I eligible to apply for a CAP Digital Grant?All students traveling on a CAP overseas mobility program are eligible to apply for a CAP Digital Grant.

How do I apply for a CAP Digital Grant?The application process is simple: simply tell us in 250 words what you think makes visual content engaging, and provide some examples of your own photography or videos.

Students can submit their applications through the Global Programs system.

DeadlineDeadlines vary depending on the departure date of the mobility program. Please apply at least one month in advance of departure.
